Specifically, the hotfix has introduced a new Lost Sector chest lockout for Destiny 2 that prevents players from opening more than two chests in a row. If a player should open two Lost Sector chests within 10 minutes of each other they will not receive any rewards from Lost Sector chests for the next 10 minutes. Clearly, Bungie was frustrated with the Lost Sector chest farming seen in the last Faction Rally, but this reaction is unlikely to go over well with players....

This approach is something Bungie tried to replicate in many ways since Season of Opulence ended, but Menagerie couldn’t stay in the game as it was. Something similar was created with Destiny 2’s Umbral Engrams that had several decoding options for players to choose from, making it so just playing the game would be rewarding. With the 30th Anniversary Pack that launched yesterday, Destiny 2 finally found the perfect balance of great loot and diverse, fun gameplay that it needed after Menagerie, perfecting the formula with the new activity Dares of Eternity....

This year, the Dawning is coming right on the heels of Destiny 2’s Season of Dawn, and the event combines the new and the old with some activities and rewards returning from last year–although most of the earnable rewards are actually new for 2019. In its post, Bungie not only named a few event highlights but also explained how the Dawning will work for those ready to score some rewards....

Season of the Seraph has featured Xivu Arath’s forces extensively, with her utilizing the Hive and Fallen of House Salvation to attempt to claim the Warmind Rasputin’s vast array of information and technology for themselves. Guardians this season are working with Ana and Elsie Bray, Clovis Bray in Exo form, and the warlock Osiris to thwart Xivu Arath’s plans before she and The Witness can succeed. With recent events revealing Clovis Bray’s agenda to elevate himself above the Traveler, what will unfold with the God of War remains to be seen....

Destiny 2 is upgrading the Trials of Osiris by adding an anti-cheat system as well as matchmaking. The lack of Trials of Osiris matchmaking in the past has made the mode completely inaccessible to some Destiny 2 players, making it impossible for them to unlock some of the rewards or complete all of the Seasonal Challenges. Adding matchmaking to Trials of Osiris should rectify those issues, and it will definitely be interesting to see how the community reacts to it....

From now until August 30 at 12pm CT, Epic Games Store users can get the Destiny 2 Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack completely free of charge. All Epic Games Store users have to do is add Destiny 2 to their library. The Destiny 2 30th Anniversary Pack includes the fan favorite Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, the Thorn armor set, various items inspired by Bungie’s older games like Halo, various cosmetics, and access to the Grasp of Avarice dungeon, itself inspired by the Destiny 1 Cosmodrome loot cave....

As seen in the trailer below titled “What is Destiny 2?”, the game is described as an “action shooter with an epic story” that will let fans play their own way by either going solo or bringing friends along for the ride, all while making new ones in the process. The footage then makes sure to list the title’s game types in a quick succession by mentioning its three-player co-op strikes, a six-player raid, and the Crucible’s 4v4 competitive multiplayer....

The video below comes from YouTube user KackisHD, whose most recent upload appears to provide new proof that each existing Destiny 2 class will actually include another subclass, a third one from the Taken King DLC. These subclasses include the Sunbreaker from Titan, the Nightstalker from Hunter, and Stormcaller from Warlock. The evidence was brought to KackisHD by a smaller YouTuber named Hackman, and is found in a teaser posted on the Destiny Instagram page....
