That is likely because the Festival of the Lost kiosk and infrastructure were already pushed live with last week’s economy update, but fans should still take notice regardless. This time around, the Tower isn’t the only social space getting a makeover....
It’s unknown how big of a shakeup is in the works, but some sort of change to Destiny’s weapon landscape is on the horizon. Bungie said today in its weekly blog that the developer is currently working on a future update that will “refine” weapon balance. Bungie says it has been working on that update for some time, even before last month when Bungie said that it was aware of the growing dominance of shotguns in PvP....
To access the Mothership in the new Destroy All Humans! remake, players must simply complete their current mission, or exit their current mission from the Pause Menu by selecting “Return to the Mothership.” That is to say, the Mothership functions as Story Mode’s “main menu” of sorts — not to be confused with the game’s Title Menu, from which players can access their mission log, and various settings and customization options....
The remake is currently included in Steam’s Midweek Madness promotion, being reduced by 50% for PC players. To celebrate the significant discount, THQ Nordic debuted what appeared to be an innocuous trailer drawing attention to the reduced price tag. However, the final moments of the footage have left players wondering whether a Destroy All Humans 2 remake is now in the works. According to the Associated Press, President-elect Joe Biden won Michigan with 50.6 percent of the popular vote to President Donald Trump’s 47.8 percent. In the lawsuit, which Powell often referred to as the “Kraken,” it was alleged that voter fraud had taken place in the state. Among other things, Powell claimed that voting machines had flipped votes from Trump to Biden. In December, the lawsuit was dismissed by U.S. District Judge Linda Parker, who described the allegations in the lawsuit as “an amalgamation of theories, conjecture, and speculation....
The return of fan favorite content coincides with the recent announcement that longtime Raid designer Joe Blackburn has rejoined Bungie and is already hard at work on Destiny 2. The announcement came on Joe’s Twitter account where he had just wrapped up his second day back at the popular developer. Naturally, the announcement was received extremely well by fans and fellow Bungie staffers as the Tweet received loads of replies, congratulations, and of course, an “if you love something…” quote from DeeJ....
As far as PvE goes, the TWAB announced an upcoming buff to pellet shotguns, which will deal 25% more damage when the patch goes live. While pellet shotguns are often not a great pick in PvE outside more trivial activities in terms of difficulty, this specific change will very likely make two underused Destiny 2 Exotics very powerful. In fact, an Exotic shotgun called The Fourth Horseman is a strong weapon to bring to boss fights already, but with a 25% damage bonus it can be even better – especially with Arc 3....
The move is reminiscent of the Last Wish raid, which launched inside of the Forsaken expansion and kicked of a three week curse cycle in the Dreaming City, which not only changed enemies found there but certain quests as well. Judging by the image accompanying the announcement, it seems that Spire of Stars may be referring to the spire atop the Leviathan. Players can see the tall spire in-game, and see the cluster of stars that rotates around the highest point of the massive ship. While this is mere speculation, the image clearly shows the top of the Leviathan. Perhaps players will get to see a bit more of the area once they reach the new level cap in Warmind....
However, a lot of the conversation around the Season of Dawn reveal stream focused on what wasn’t said. And one of the biggest questions that players had after the stream was whether or not Destiny 2 Season 9 would raise the power level cap in the game. Tuesday maintenance is fairly common with the launch of a major Destiny update, but typically the developer likes to get game files onto players’ hard drives in advance. This time, things are coming in a little under the wire, with a 5-hour maintenance window right before the new content is set to launch. For those that are curious, Bungie says that the Destiny 2 Warmind update should be available for pre-load at 10am PT....
In one of the top posts on Destiny 2’s subreddit, user friendlyelites says “Shadowkeep Doesn’t Have a Real Campaign.” They expound in the body of the post, saying “The campaign for Shadowkeep is NOT A CAMPAIGN. It is an introduction to the story that is going to develop over this next year. If the ending felt abrupt to you that’s because IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE.” But as empathetic as friendlyelites is, other posters in the thread, frustrated with Shadowkeep’s launch, aren’t quite so understanding....
No reasoning or justification for the decision is provided for the decision to segregate the Stadia community for Destiny 2, though a logical explanation can be speculated. Given the nature of Google Stadia as a cloud service, it’s unlikely that it will feature a similar game licensing and account system. Someone logging into Destiny 2 from Stadia won’t necessarily be accessing their personal copy of the game, they’ll be accessing a pool of licenses that Google Stadia has reserved for its players....
The teaser trailer reveals that in the Warmind DLC, guardians will once more be exploring and fighting scores of Hive in Hellas Basin on Mars. The video further reveals that guardians will have to survive the Hive Escalation Protocol in the Warmind DLC, which appears to be a new wave-based battle mode against large numbers of Hive enemies. And finally, the teaser trailer promises to reveal more details surrounding Crucible updates, which is Destiny 2’s PvP mode, as well as upgraded exotics during the Twitch reveal stream tomorrow....

We’ve seen Crota defeated with the help of a Rock Band 4 drumkit, while wearing a blindfold — even with nothing more than the sound of a player’s voice. Now, one Destiny fan has introduced the boss to the much-loved rhythm game Dance Dance Revolution. A Reddit user going by the handle GladHeAteHer182 is responsible for this feat, and has uploaded a YouTube video of the battle with Crota. However, it seems that credit for the complex control scheme set up for the challenge goes to another player — fUnderdog, who also had a hand in mapping the game’s controls to Rock Band drums....

Elsie Bray was a member of this prestigious family. In the original Destiny, all that’s mentioned of Elsie is that she designed the ship known as the Eon Trespass – and that she disappeared three years after its creation. Elsie’s fate is left unknown until Ana draws the player back to Mars in Destiny 2’s Warmind....

After announcing the XP change last week, a Tweet from the Bungie Help account confirmed that the promised changes have not yet been adjusted in the Destiny 2 API. As such, players may notice that the earned XP values are still off and that the correct number to fill the experience bar and earn a bright engram beyond level 20 is actually 160,000 XP. The Tweet itself seems innocuous enough, but what took players by surprise is that the total amount of experience needed to level up and earn a Bright Engram has doubled....
