According to Community Manager DeeJ, Festival of the Lost won’t be happening in Destiny 2 this year for a couple of reasons. First, Season 1 is focused on launch instead of running holiday events. Secondly, the first event planned for Destiny 2 is The Dawning, which is a winter-themed event set to kick off in December as part of the game’s second season of content. Some fans may be disappointed to learn that the Festival of the Lost won’t be in Destiny 2 this year, but it shouldn’t come as a big surprise....

Along the same lines as Sterling Treasures, Radiant Treasures will be one of the ways that players can obtain these Ornaments along with a new item known as Silver Dust. Ornaments can be used to change the appearance of certain gear sets or other exotic items, similar to the way Chroma modifiers were introduced in the April update that enabled players to activate a unique glow of color. Silver dust on the other hand can be traded into the weekend merchant Xur in exchange for even more ornament options....

However, most of these “cheeses” have been regularly patched out of Destiny in an attempt to keep players on the straight and narrow path. For example, many Vault of Glass raiders preferred to push the Templar off the map in Vault of Glass, rather than actually fight him the correct way. The protest began at Patton Park at around 4 p.m. local time Sunday. Some demonstrators, who the Detroit Police Department referred to as “agitators,” jumped onto the hood and roof of the police SUV as the march headed toward Clark Park at around 9:30 p.m. local time, The Detroit News reports. Dozens of protesters were reported to have surrounded the SUV and a rear back window was “busted out,” according to the Detroit Police Department....

Bungie confirmed the extension of its Twitch Gaming partnership on its official website this past week. Twitch Prime Gaming subscribers will be able to claim 12 months of Destiny 2 rewards starting now. Each month another reward pack will be made available to claim. If subscribers don’t claim the rewards, then at the end of each month they’ll lose the opportunity. These limited-time rewards ensure Destiny 2 players stay subscribed to Prime Gaming for the full year....

One such method was put to the test by the YouTuber Gladd, who took his fireteam into Destiny 2’s raid lair, Eater of Worlds. The boss of this mission, the Vex Hydra named Argos, is fully encased in a barrier which forces players to work around the level to bring it down so they can shoot at it. Typically, players need to work together to utilize three different furnaces to charge items corresponding to the three different elements before mines can detonate....

In Destiny 2, The Farm will support up to 26 players, as confirmed by a new IGN First video. While the video didn’t show what a full Farm social space might look like, the prospect of more people running around is sure to be exciting to fans. 26 players is a substantial uptick from the 16-player count that was capable in Destiny 1’s social spaces. It’s unclear how exactly Bungie will be reserving space in The Farm, but ideally players should see more Guardians running around than they ever did in the first game....

This is precisely the way Destiny 2 players are treating weapon crafting considering this new feature is more demanding and deterministic than simply farming Lost Sectors for Exotics or Nightfalls for specific weapons. Weapon crafting may be limited to only a few patterns as of Season of the Risen, but it’s likely that this won’t be an issue moving forward, Rather, having too many patterns and more than a handful of meta craftable weapons could be problematic....

The trailer is all about the corruption that has taken hold in the Awoken’s sacred city. Destiny 2 players will join up with returning character Petra Venj to unravel the secrets hidden away in the Dreaming City and hopefully bring peace back to the once-prosperous home of the Awoken. Once players have amassed enough power to safely traverse the Dreaming City, they can delve into the heart of it and take on the powerful raid boss (or bosses) that may be behind this corruption....
