The most meaningful change comes in the form of a fix to the Nightfall modifier Prism. Prism is a modifier that adds a rotating power-up that boosts a specific energy weapon element type. Arc, Solar, and Void energy are strengthened for a short duration before the Prism modifier moves to the next type of energy, and then it repeats for the duration of the Nightfall event. Now players will always know which element is active....
While it may not be a dedicated expansion like Forsaken, new content is only a few weeks away, with a full reveal coming even sooner. The Black Armory, the first content arriving in the Annual Pass, adds new gear and weapons for players to collect as well as a new raid and a new activity known as The Lost Forges. Destiny fans will want to mark December 4 down on their calendars though Bungie is planning a big reveal following the Thanksgiving holiday later this week....
The Farm is new to Destiny 2, a necessary change to the Guardians’ base of operations after The Tower falls, kickstarting the game’s plot. It’s a much more rustic, tranquil environment than the previous hub, characterized by plenty of greenery, a futuristic wind farm, and an overgrown watermill. Console players had their own chance to take a look at The Farm a few weeks back — and some Guardians took full advantage of the opportunity....
Many fans have purchased (or earned through random loot drops) a collection of emotes, but currently Bungie only allows players to have one button to have a custom emote. The first of those experiences, Prison of Elders, is a combat arena meant to challenge even the strongest of Destiny players. Essentially, it’s a horde mode equivalent constructed of 5 rounds (6 on the level 35 difficulty) with 3 waves per round. Players enter one of four rooms – each themed and populated after one of Destiny’s enemy types – and try to eliminate all opponents while completing specific objectives....
Annoying for sure, but Destiny players have discovered another bug that could be game breaking. It allows those playing as the new Hunter Nightstalker subclass to gain infinite use of their Shadowshot super ability, which kills and tethers enemies, knocking them out of their Supers if active. This is especially a problem as Iron Banner is live right now, ruining the competitive experience for many players. Discovery of the exploit (which appears to have been discovered by accident) was posted on the Destiny subreddit and quickly spread through the community....
For Destiny: The Taken King, however, Bungie is leaning into those conspiracies, and peppering their Year 2 content with a wealth of secrets. Thus far, we’ve seen hidden items in story missions and completely new sections in levels, all of which can only be accessed by fulfilling certain requirements. But the biggest secret thus far was the discovery of a special area in the Lost to Light daily story mission that unlocks the exotic sniper rifle Black Spindle....
After lots of speculation among the community and cryptic messages from Bungie, the studio admitted that it will have a presence at the annual PlayStation Experience event this coming weekend. While many are expecting to see season 2 of the Sparrow Racing League event for the first time similar to what Bungie announced last year, others are expecting a more substantial update. The last thing anyone wants is another lengthy content drought that negatively impacted the community earlier this year....
We do know that it’s a vehicle combat game, where the objective is to smash and crash into other players to take them out, sort of like the Twisted Metal series, though the big gameplay difference is that players must also sometimes parkour around the arena on foot and avoid being run over. Not to mention, it’s far more colorful and less gritty, with obvious similarities being made to Overwatch and Fortnite....

The current transmog system was first introduced in Destiny 2’s Season 14 and has no intention of changing anytime soon, peacefully coexisting with the Eververse store of cosmetic microtransactions and expansions. Transmogrifying Legendary armor has been limited to unlocking 10 new pieces for each character that players own in a given Season, requiring Synthchord currency earned from Ada-1’s bounties. This total of 10 armor ornaments in current Seasons is a mere half of the original total of 20 from the Season that implemented the transmog system, and this number dwindles the more players expect to acquire ornaments for the original armor models introduced in every Season....
Now, thanks to the massive Shadowkeep update, players now have an easier avenue to guarantee access to these two great exotics. Currently, Crucible in Destiny 2 is plagued with slow TTK and team-shooting, and Bungie is trying to fix that with the sandbox changes launching with Forsaken. Most of the changes shown off in the livestream will be hitting Destiny 2 on August 28 when players pre-load the Forsaken expansion. In the stream, Bungie showed two Crucible matches with the updated sandbox, and the time-to-kill was significantly lower compared to Destiny 2 currently....
Seismic Strike, like Shoulder Charge, activates after sprinting for a short time. However, whereas a Should Charge in Destiny 1 is a one-hit kill in PvP, Destiny 2 has lowered the damage of the ability. While Seismic Strike may appear to longtime fans to be a neutered version of Should Charge, that may not be entirely true. Although its damage has been nerfed, Seismic Strike now has the ability to spread its damage across multiple targets....
This tip is not only helpful for completing the dungeon in general but especially for those Destiny 2 players who are trying to get the Eternal Heretic and Savior of the Deep Triumphs, which require players to conquer the dungeon without dying as a team and playing it solo, respectively. These Triumphs are required for the Harbinger title, so there are dedicated players who especially do not want to experience accidental deaths....
While the studio prepares content for season 2, the studio plans on making smaller, yet important changes to help improve the experience of Destiny 2. One such change should make fans happy as a new emote interface will allow players to equip and use multiple emotes. Currently, the game only allows players to equip one emote at a time through the menu system. While details remain scarce, the example in the blog post mentions that the new emote interface will allow fans to equip the legendary emotes Flip Out, Six Shooter, Salty, and Spicy Ramen all at the same time....
Part of that comes from the deep lore that has been built into Destiny 2 since the original game. The Grimoire cards from Destiny and the lore books of Destiny 2 have helped give context and history to the Destiny universe. However, many of those legendary and fabled events and characters found in the lore have stepped out of the past and returned in some way within the game itself....
As seen below in the gallery for Funko Pop’s forthcoming line of figures for Bungie’s first-person shooter, several of the main characters from the game such as Lord Shaxx, Ikora, Zavala, Xur, and Cayde-6–all of whom are vendors or dole out quests for players–will be given models of their own. Of course, not to be left out, some of Destiny’s raid bosses will be included in the toy line as well, with Oryx, Atheon, and Crota having figures made of them, too....
With Destiny, Bungie has taken this process a step further by introducing a host of secrets over the current lifespan of the game. Players have discovered all kinds of secrets from hidden exotic weapons like The Black Spindle, complex secret quests such as the one found in the Wrath of the Machine raid, and golden chests hidden all over the different planets. For many, the most well known secrets come in the form of hidden ghosts, which unlock additional lore regarding the universe....
