The only thing that will carry forward into Destiny 2 are the character personalizations that fans have created for the original game. In the announcement on the developer’s blog, Bungie said that specifically means the class, race, gender, face, hair, and marking selections for all characters will carry forward. This will occur as long as that character has hit Level 20 and completed the original campaign’s last Black Garden story mission....
In today’s Update 2.0 patch notes, the developer outlined numerous weapon balance changes coming to Destiny with the latest. Clearly Bungie has been listening to fan complaints regarding overpowered weapons and abused perks, and now those issues should be gone. This weekend, in recognition of Earth Day (April 22nd), Bungie has put together a random rotation of maps. Randomly rotating maps is something the developer has done before, but this time all the maps take place on Destiny’s version of Earth. The two issues the Destiny community has identified are (1) players getting stuck in the Character Inventory Screen when accessing the menu within the Vault and (2) Rare leg armor engrams not decrypting into anything. Bungie has announced that hotfix 2.4.0.3 is arriving later today for its popular shooter, Destiny. This will be the second hotfix to arrive following the release of Rise of Iron which had its own fix arrive on launch day last week. The update will start rolling out at 10 PDT for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users and all players in game will either be kicked to orbit, or will manually need to return to orbit in order for the download to begin....
However, even those who may not be as skilled at Crucible do have a chance of getting to The Lighthouse if their other Destiny fireteam members are good enough. Or, in some cases, players are “carried” to the Lighthouse by someone capable of dominating Trials of Osiris all by themselves. As the last remaining days before the big reveal tick down, the current iteration of Destiny continues on as well, though a 4 hour maintenance period has been scheduled tomorrow, perhaps to tighten up a major glitch that was recently discovered. Striker titans have recently discovered that it’s possible to execute a melee shoulder charge without first having to build momentum through sprinting. These instant shoulder charges could could negatively impact the delicate balance online and is surely something that Bungie intends to fix as soon as possible....
Lucid Games tweeted out a list of patch notes that were implemented today for Destruction AllStars in Patch 1.2.4. There aren’t many fixes in the update, but they will help players prevent their game from crashing and other things such as not allowing players to join a match until the game is fully downloaded to their PS5 console. The short answer is that these rewards will be random drops for completing a Nightfal Strike in Destiny 2. This time around in Destiny 2, the raid’s more difficult version won’t be called “Hard” or “Heroic” but like the harder version of the weekly Nightfall strike, it will be called Prestige Mode. Bungie teased the release of the Prestige raid in its weekly blog update saying “In October, new challenges will continue to arrive, including […] new ways to have your prestige tested in the Raid.” A raid in Destiny is the game’s best kept secret, so not only do players know virtually nothing about the raid itself, they also know even less about what Prestige Mode may entail....
The Crucible pinnacle weapon is a sniper rifle called Revoker. The main perk for the weapon returns missed shots to the magazine after a short time. It is not currently known how long it will take for the shots to return to the magazine, but considering considering how hard Bungie has been nerfing powerful weapons lately, it may be a longer time than some players may like. Alongside the various nerfs, multiple buffs also stood out, especially so for PvE players. Maps in Destiny 2 are effectively an addition to and expansion of explorable areas from Destiny made strikingly more robust.
