The Witch Queen’s campaign was a great success both from a gameplay perspective and a narrative standpoint, mixing a compelling plot and villain with difficult missions and morally gray areas to explore. Destiny 2 fans were pleased to discover that the seasonal storyline in Season of the Risen complements this, which is good after criticism surrounding the Seasons in previous expansions. Season of the Risen’s story came to an unexpected conclusion today, which ties up multiple loose ends in Destiny 2’s overarching narrative....

Starting May 11, Destiny 2 fans can look forward to the introduction mission for Season of the Splicer that shows how the Vex have plunged the Earth into an endless night. May 11 will also see the addition of Destiny 2’s Armor Synthesis system, Stasis Aspect Quests, and the first Override activity, which will take place on Europa. Override, for the uninitiated, is a new 6-player matchmade activity in Destiny 2 where players will fight against the Vex....

Double jumps, glides, supers, and more shake up Destiny 2’s movement even more, allowing for players to get creative even in the most dangerous of situations. Oftentimes, players will bypass entire areas of play or access areas meant to be inaccessible until a later date by utilizing the tools they have at their disposal. The two rare raid exotics are the One Thousand Voices fusion rifle and the Anarchy grenade launcher, which drop from Last Wish and Scourge of the Past, respectively. Bungie has implemented “bad luck protection” in the past to help boost the chances of getting these exotics, but the devs want to take things further. Bungie says there are safeguards and security in place, but part of that has the negative side effect that some commonly used third party applications will not be compatible with Destiny 2. The main issue that is causing the incompatibility comes from any application on PC that attempts to insert code into the game client. Destiny 2 will block such attempts, thus making those applications incompatible. It makes sense, because the same methods used by those legitimate apps are similar or the same methods someone could use for more nefarious purposes....

But what is interesting about this comparison between the two games is how this new PS5 title Godfall is rooted in fantasy, and so too did Destiny have its roots in the fantasy genre. For a time in early development, Bungie considered taking players to a fantasy world instead of setting them off into the solar system. While most of Destiny’s microtransactions thus far have been special emotes meant to express some sort of in-game emotion, or simply to dance, the introduction of the Sparrow Racing League brought a new premium item: the SLR Record Book. With it, players could keep track of their greatest feats within Sparrow racing, and in turn earn unique cosmetic rewards like racing gear and sparrows. The details of the Sleeping Dogs sequel come courtesy of Waypoint, which shared its findings about the mysterious project. United Front Games initially pitched its idea for Sleeping Dogs 2 back in early 2013, and although the project was cancelled by the end of that year, and never officially entered production, there was a brief period of time where United Front Games was pulling together its plans for the game....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ken Watanabe will be playing the role of Detective Yoshida, who happens to be a role specifically created for the Detective Pikachu movie, with the project set to start shooting in London this month. With the main thrust of the film’s story focusing on a teenager teaming up with Pikachu to find his kidnapped father, there’s no telling at this point in time as to how exactly Watanabe’s character will tie into the plot....

On paper, last year’s free-to-play relaunch of the game, Destiny 2: New Light, should have been a perfect entry point for new players to jump into the franchise, but its execution has left much to be desired. During its latest weekly blog, Bungie acknowledged that the current new player experience, which lets players loose in the Tower after just a single mission, hasn’t done the best job of getting newcomers up to speed on the nuances of Destiny 2’s gameplay, cast, and narrative....

Champions are another notable addition to Destiny 2, and they are quite tough to deal with, especially if players are not well-equipped with the right mods and guns or if they are newer Guardians who don’t exactly know how to handle this sort of encounter. As a matter of fact, Champions need to be stunned with seasonal mods or specific Exotic weapons with a built-in ability that temporarily staggers them - such as Eriana’s Vow, for example....

As seen in the tweet below from Bungie’s official Twitter account, Destiny 2 players ought to be able to find the playlist that includes Showdown at the top right of the Director after selecting the Crucible node. One of the greatest blocks in the Raid since day one has been the Caretaker encounter, and the reason is that this particular boss acts as a DPS gate where dealing enough damage each phase is crucial to not wipe at the final stand. Furthermore, Destiny 2’s Caretaker encounter is notoriously lacking Special and Heavy ammo drops, which are important when it comes to DPS. With so many active roles in the fight, the Caretaker is hard for many groups because of how the obelisk portion of the encounter goes hand-in-hand with players taunting the boss....

In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, players have the option to choose from seven different classes, each with their own unique active abilities and skill trees. These powers range from elemental spells to summonable creatures to invisibility, with the changes to the classic Borderlands formula well-received by some fans of the series, as they provided a fresh and exciting way to play the game. The Strand subclass in Destiny 2 follows a similar principle, allowing players to trade in their grenades for a Strand grappling hook with massive utility and other potential undisclosed features....

Rather than chase a specific type of loot out of a singular, large pool, players could focus on the Tokens that correspond to a given Destiny 2 vendor. If, for example, a player likes the EDZ gear set, then they can farm EDZ activities and turn in Tokens to Devrim Kay. It was an elegant solution to a problem that plagued a lot of Destiny 1, specifically that players never had clear routes towards certain pieces of gear....

For players to unlock this weapon currently, they must wait until the weekend for the anomaly to spawn in Io, but according to Bungie Community Manager Cozmo, there may be an update soon that will allow players more access to the anomaly. One Destiny 2 fan took to the Destiny subreddit to ask Bungie to let players enter the Io anomaly more frequently. This request was made due to the fact that some players cannot play often on the weekends....

The datamine has to do with one of the entries in Eris Morn’s The Singular Exegete, in which the “Messages of Darkness” are interpreted. The full message for the Camouflage entry has now been translated and it has dire ramifications. The initial, incomplete entry for Camouflage mentioned a thread “closer than you know” and someone that is “hiding the truth even from my own friend.” But as unsettling as those comments are, the rest of the message is worse....
