There have been several hints throughout Shadowkeep’s seasons, especially in the latter half of 2020 content in Destiny 2, that infer Savathun may tangle with guardians first before the Darkness. Even before Shadowkeep, the events of Destiny 2’s narrative have come as a result of an overarching plan by Savathun that’s playing out separately from the Darkness’ invasion. This is exactly why, before Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion in 2022, The Witch Queen expansion will mark the inevitable face off between guardians and Savathun....

After much anticipation, the update has finally arrived from Bungie, during Season 13 as originally promised. The post itself, again written by Destiny 2 assistant game director Joe Blackburn, is quite long, giving fans plenty to dig into and digest. The post covers many hot topics from the return of the Black Armory keep Ada-1, when the Vault of Glass is finally returning, as well as the state of PvP in the game....

Because Destiny 2 is a game where customization matters, Bungie has also released many emblems over the years that support different causes or show the players’ dedication to humanitarian crises through their donations. An example comes from the Bungie Store’s Pride Pin, a symbol of support to the LGBTQ+ community, which also provides anyone who purchases it with a code to redeem the True Colors emblem, mirroring the rainbow pattern on the pin itself....

As a live service game, the title has consistently received changes over the past few years. With Destiny 2’s newest expansion Beyond Light, many previous locations and quests were vaulted to make way for Bungie’s new direction. Since then, there have been unique modes like Battlegrounds, as well as alternate grinds to chase, such as Seasonal Challenges. As such, fans have started discussing what new weapons will be on top once Destiny 2’s Season 10 moves into full swing. One new YouTube video, in particular, kicks off a conversation by trying to predict what weapons will be the most optimal to use out of the bunch available at the season’s start. Bungie said during the live stream three Destiny 2 developers will customize a Titan, Warlock, and Hunter with the new Armor 2.0. But Bungie will show more than just the armor mods; the stream will also show more about the new Artifact item and how Ornaments will work moving forward. The clips in question show the enemy race of the Vex, or to be exact, a Vex Goblin who appears to be going through some sort of creation or activation process. Destiny fan and subreddit moderator, Fuzzle, spotted the footage in the demo reel, which was posted six months ago. He isolated the new clips of the Vex and slowed them down. The demo reel was posted by someone who worked on the project at Prologue Films, a production company based in California....

It’s unclear whether the glitch was unlocked in Destiny or if it was there all along, but this weekend several players began to point it out. And with it, a player can go from a quick sprint to a one-hit kill melee with only a few button presses. Rest assured we won’t explain exactly how to do the instant shoulder charge glitch; this post is more of a heads-up to those playing Crucible this weekend....

According to Bungie, this second update should further reduce the lag player have been seeing in Destiny as of late. However, players might also see an increase in matchmaking time as a result, but only in the Iron Banner playlist. While it’s unclear what prompted Bungie to release an additional update, it seems clear that the developer is taking player criticisms of PvP to heart. Since the major update back in December, players were seeing huge increases in laggy players, strange deaths, and all manner of abnormal occurrences, many of which were presumably a byproduct of skill-based matchmaking....

With a week long reveal planned, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s in store for the game when the update arrives later this month. A recent teaser trailer for the content provides a few hints at upcoming content including a massive, new record book for players to complete, and potentially remixed and refreshed raids such as the popular Vault of Glass. While news about the upcoming sequel is still quite scarce, Bungie did confirm that most items and content from the current game won’t be transferable, but character personalizations including selections for face, hair, and marking options would be supported in the next game....

Over the course of the original Destroy All Humans, as well as its recent remake, Crypto gains access to a decent pool of weaponry to help in his and Pox’s missions, though not every weapon is worth using in every scenario. While some of Crypto’s weapons are useful in just about every scenario, others are better left onboard the mothership while players recreate their favorite sci-fi B-movie moments. 4 Anal Probe One of the first weapons that Crypto has access to, the Anal Probe is more of a joke weapon than it being actually useful in combat....

A remake of the cult-classic from the PS2 and original Xbox era was announced just over a year ago by THQ Nordic. Nordic is a newly formed publisher consisting mostly of properties owned by the original THQ before it filed for bankruptcy in December of 2012. The original developer of Destroy All Humans! was Pandemic Studios, which is now also defunct and is being replaced by Germany’s Black Forest Games....

One of the biggest questions that anxious gamers were left wondering pertained to the two new legendary Pokemon that appeared in the debut trailer. Other than the fact that they each resembled the ‘X’ and ‘Y’ letters featured prominently at the end of each version’s title, they were left largely on display without even the slightest of details. Nintendo has now revealed the official names of the legendary duo, allowing those following the games’ development to grow accustomed to addressing the new creatures by something other than “the Y-shaped bird” and “colorful deer thing....

Not to be confused with the 2019 live-action film adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds, Detective Pikachu was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 in Japan before seeing a global launch two years later. The plot of the game is largely identical to the film’s, following a young man named Tim as he searches for his missing father with the help of a talking Pikachu, though the game features more mysteries to solve as players interact with the people and Pokemon that inhabit Ryme City....

Another major element that The Witch Queen added is how several Hive specimens have been blessed with the Traveler’s Light after the First Ghost, Immaru, resurrected Savathun herself. It’s unknown why the Traveler acted as it did and what role the Hive Lightbearers will play in the story moving forward, which is going to be hard to determine if another arc after Season of the Haunted doesn’t involve them at all....

The recently introduced Destiny Content Vault pulled a lot of classic content from Destiny 2 when it went into effect in the fall of 2020 and only exasperated the FOMO many players have. Several locations were pulled from the game as well as raids, major campaigns, strikes, and exotic quests. While many of the top-tier exotics in Destiny 2 have had associated quests those whose locations and questlines were put in the DCV were added to the Monument to Lost Lights as an alternative way to acquire them....

While that side of the season remains a mystery, Bungie has been much more forthcoming with seasonal updates to the sandbox as well as other changes. Already, the studio has detailed a ton of big changes including a massive balancing effort on nearly every Destiny 2 subclass, including nerfs to popular builds like Top Tree Dawnblade, while also poroviding major buffs to many under used classes. This week, Bungie laid out plans on how they plan to balance weapons, including a number of exotics as well....

In a development update concerning Destiny 2, one of the game’s directors, Christopher Barrett, opened the lines of communication with fans to provide a forecast of what would be coming in the next year for the game. When it comes to ranked play, the game will have two separate ranking systems for players to pursue—Valor and Glory. Valor is a rank that increases with progression, or in other words, by completing Crucible matches....
