Here is part 2 looking at this fascinating collection of lore from Destiny: Auryx’s Fate Auryx, killed by Savathûn, still lives outside of the physical world. This marks the creation of Auryx’s Throne World and the Ascendant realms of the Hive. Players have experienced this many times in the game: Crota resided in an Ascendant realm within the Hellmouth, Hive ships rip into the physical world from these realms, and of course, in The Taken King, players go to Oryx’s Throne World aboard the Dreadnaught....

The trailer does not reveal much of anything that fans already know but shows a raid group of Guardians standing in front of a Vex gate on the Moon that will transport them to the Black Garden where the Garden of Salvation raid will take place. Hard Light is an exotic auto rifle that’s been around since the original Destiny, but it’s always been an average-at-best weapon to use for an exotic slot. It’s a high RPM, over-penetrating auto rifle with no damage falloff and projectiles that ricochet off surfaces. Season of the Seraph is the final Season for Year 5 before the new story expansion, Lightfall, releases in February 2023. The content creator argues that updates made to the combat pace, maps, and other weapon types have left Destiny 2’s auto rifles, scout rifles, and hand cannons behind weaponry like shotguns, grenade launchers, and machine guns....

A new week begins on January 18, 2022. Players will have a busy time during the Nightfall strikes during the weekly reset. After seven days of competitive Iron Banner, Bungie will bring back bonus Nightfall rewards for everyone, alongside Mayhem in the Crucible. Upcoming content in the weekly reset of Destiny 2 Season of the Lost (January 18 to 25) 1) Corrupted Nightfall Corrupted will return to the Nightfall pool, with hoards of Taken enemies and punishing modifiers....

Since Destiny is a loot based franchise, The Dawning also features new winter-themed loot to obtain. Through new Dawning engrams, players can find new ships, sparrows, ghost shells, armor, and much more each week until the event ends next month. Players can also pick up a Dawning Gift Schematic from the Bazaar, and then create unique gifts for NPC vendors each day. Giving a gift to a vendor will also result in them giving the player a gift in return, providing another chance at finding event gear....

Bungie has released five of these short stories so far: Gambit Prime, The Reckoning, Praxic Order, The Murder of Cayde-6, and The Job. Some are suggesting that these short stories shift the Destiny 2 narrative as fans know it into much darker territory for Destiny 3. It positions both the player character and the Drifter as characters who are not liked by the NPCs in the Tower. It also connects the Drifter to the death of Cayde-6, with Cayde-6’s Ghost having been killed by “a single, Thorn-like bullet....

But Bungie says that a new hot fix, which has already been pushed to Destiny should relieve these issues. If all goes well, both Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner should make a quick return. The original issues that plagued the game included a bug that could prevent matchmaking into an activity and weapons inflicting too little damage (as little as 1 point), or players taking too much damage from opponents in PvP....

Even though the RNG system in Destiny may not always work in the players favor, Bungie is adding some sure fire ways to score new gear with higher light levels. In the weekly newletter to fans, community manager David “DeeJ” Dague revealed that the studio forgot to mention a couple of items during their live stream earlier this week. The first big detail is that the King’s Fall raid will also be affected by the light level increase, potentially dropping items with light level 330 once the update hits....

A few months ago, Bungie announced a partnership with the energy drink company Red Bull to bring fans of the game a timed-exclusive DLC mission, along with a bonus XP consumable. In order to receive the content, players had to unlock it by redeeming codes marked on specially-labeled Red Bull cans that they had purchased. However, Destiny’s cross-promotional idea hit a snag once fans’ legitimate keys were null and void after people went on to exploit the system without buying the products at all and by using stolen Red Bull promo codes....

Once the outages were over, focus was back on enjoying new games and the holiday festivities within them, except in one game: Destiny. Bungie promised a holiday gift for Christmas, but by New Years it was nowhere to be seen with word that it would come in January after the holidays. Bungie has delivered on that promise today with the developer shipping a legendary item to each Destiny player, available at the Postmaster....
