One such method of rewarding those most engaged Destiny 2 users is to incentivize prestige activities. Details surrounding how Bungie plans to tweak this system are still under wraps for now, but it’s assumed that once the system is tweaked, Destiny 2 will become a more rewarding experience for players who decide to take on a Prestige Nightfall or Raid. Managing and switching gear between characters can be a chore, especially for players that run more than one character. Bungie had previously given players a Destiny Companion App tool for item management, but the browser version just got a little sweeter thanks to a Gear Manager overhaul. The Gear Manager has been in limited Beta for a while now - only unlocked on selected accounts for initial testing - but as of an update yesterday, Bungie has opened the Beta version of the Gear Manager to all users....

In the meantime however, Destiny is planning on mixing things up this week with its fan favorite Iron Banner crucible mode. While traditional modes like Control and Clash have been prominent features to the limit time event, Bungie is trying something new with Mayhem Clash this time. The mode essentially reduces all cool downs and charges guardian super abilities much faster than normal, so the Iron Banner should be fairly entertaining this time around at the very least....

But this digital content and the early access to the Destiny 2 beta, aren’t the only things that players will be gifted for pre-ordering. Reports on social media confirm that those who pre-order the game from GameStop will also be able to get a Destiny 2 fidget spinner. The black and white gizmo is styled just like the Destiny 2 logo itself, with many fans agreeing that Bungie and Activision couldn’t not take up this glorious opportunity to get in on the fidget spinner trend....

Plenty of Warlock players continue to echo how bad their class’ viability is on the Destiny 2 subreddit, especially now with Beyond Light’s exotic lineup revealed. While Hunters and Titans received exotics that transform, change, or augment various abilities and existing abilities, Warlocks got more of the same with Beyond Light’s exotic armor. Short of discussing permanent changes to the subclasses themselves, these new exotics continue to kick Warlocks while they’re down....

With a new DLC coming out soon as well as a new Season, players across the board will have to once again partake in the Power Level grind when the Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2 releases. The expansion is set to come out on February 28 of this year, and that means that preparing for it ahead of time can be crucial. At the moment, Bungie has been filling players in on what to expect, such as major changes to gear and inventory systems through community updates like the TWAB posts....

Crow is not just any Lightbearer, though, as he is a Guardian who was resurrected from Uldren Sov’s corpse, meaning that he is easily one of the most recognizable followers of the Traveler in existence. Uldren Sov is the infamous killer of Cayde-6, the creator of the Scorn, the brother of Queen Mara Sov, and the bane of the Reef. As such, his reputation was that of a murderer when he eventually died, and this passed onto Crow simply for wearing Uldren’s face, even though Guardians don’t have memories of their past lives....

The upcoming reset will have another Hotfix patched alongside version 4.1.0.3. Typically, Bungie will take down their official servers before the reset happens to conduct maintenance. Players will be removed from in-game activities from 9:15 AM PST until the weekly reset at 10 AM PST. When will Destiny 2 servers be up again? Like Tuesday’s maintenance last week, today’s Destiny 2 server maintenance will take the game offline for four hours starting at 10am ET/7am PT and concluding at 2pm ET/11am PT. That shouldn’t eat into too many players’ Destiny 2 time since it is in the middle of the workday, but there should be plenty wondering why the servers are down and for how long they will be that way. Last week’s maintenance also introduced a few tweaks to Destiny 2, namely the addition of clan rosters whereby players can see all of their clan mates in the roster menu....

Bungie made the announcement on social media and its website early Wednesday afternoon, telling the Destiny 2 community that it heard their complaints. Essentially, the devs did not want to put such a harsh barrier between players and new content and so the team has decided to give players what they want. First, Guardians need to know when to expect this update and how it’s going to roll out. Daylight Savings Time will set back clocks an hour on March 14, so players will be reset by the time that the 3.1.1 update begins on March 16. On March 16, maintenance for the update will begin at 9:00 a.m. PDT (1600 UTC) and players will be kicked offline at 9:45 a.m. PDT (1645 UTC)....

Twitter user VoteforShifu posted the short clip from one of their most recent and successful Atheon solo runs inside the Vault of Glass raid. The clip shows the devastator titan using their throwing hammer melee on several vex harpies for a damage boost before turning their attention to Atheon. But, of course, Bungie still has so much to cover in the weeks/days leading up to Destiny: The Taken King’s launch, specifically with regards to the finer details. Obviously, there are going to give the major events, like the new King’s Fall raid, their due, but what happens to the established daily and weekly routines in Destiny? More specifically, how will our weekly strikes change in year 2? Changes to Nightfall Strikes Well, today’s Bungie Weekly Update has all the answers, and the changes are significant....

Just recently one Destiny fan put together an Overwatch Play of the Game parody that calls back to some fond memories from Bungie’s shooter. From Crota moving outside of his AI pathing zone to Xur finally selling Gjallarhorn, the video featured plenty of “plays” that any Destiny veteran would remember. Now, that same creator is back with a new Destiny Play of the Game parody featuring even more classic moments....

Using a simple sequence of inputs, players can lower their weapon, removing it from their field of view. Combined with the option to remove the game’s HUD added via the game’s most recent update, it’s possible to record footage with zero distractions on the screen. To get started, players will need one of the game’s sword-type weapons and an open space. Then, it’s a simple process of swinging your sword with a melee attack, switching weapons halfway through the animation, then pressing the melee attack button three more times in rapid succession....

Normally, these bosses each take a while to damage and kill. But one Destiny player has discovered a way to comically take down one of the Psion Flayers in just one shot. The Reddit user known as destinytemp24 does this by moving all the exploding barrels in the boss room and setting them up right where the doomed Psion Flayer spawns. [HTML1] Once the boss spawns in, one shot sets off a chain reaction of the barrels, taking down a quarter of the Psion Flayer’s health, but more importantly sends the enemy careening off the map....

Discovered by Twitch streamers Luckyy and Buttwipe, the bug appears to work when a Destiny player has a heavy machine gun equipped and picks up heavy ammo from the heavy ammo box during a Crucible match. As can be seen in the video below Luckyy is pulling the heavy ammo box and performing the exploit, but the bullets are not showing on his screen. From his point of view, it looks as though he is not firing....
