After his brief stint as part of the Curse of Osiris expansion for Destiny 2, Bungie has brought Osiris back into the spotlight as the new quest giver for the Season of Dawn. Through him, players are given quests related to the obelisks, participating in the new Sundial activity, and more. While the character retains his look when players last saw him, one person in particular encountered a glitch that has certainly provided more than a few laughs for the community....

The perks of these overpowered items have made certain weapons and class builds almost mandatory in Destiny 2, like how Gjallarhorn was in the original game. The upside that a lot of these weapons and builds have compared to the top tier items from the first Destiny is diversity. While the original Destiny had some unique weapons, the change in gunplay, armor mods, and overall player experience allows a lot of these weapons to shine in both PVE and PVP activities....

Although this has not always been the case, Bungie has been pushing build-crafting in Destiny 2 as one of the game’s strengths, and seasonal mods are part of the equation that makes each different build shine. In the case of Season 18, Bungie added interesting items to the game that will work with Arc 3.0 builds or for general play, but one detail that stands out is the fact that most of these seasonal mods are bound to the class item slot....

So where do you find Phantasmal Fragments? There are a couple known sources. First off, the bounties that players can pick up from the Lectern of Enchantment itself will reward Phantasmal Fragments. The bounties that have been off so far in the latest ViDoc from Bungie are bounties for the new Nightmare Hunt mode that is coming in Shadowkeep. Tasks such as getting arc kills and performing finisher moves will complete these bounties....

It’s not a big surprise, then, to see that Destiny 2’s reworked Solstice 2022 event has got its own set of glowy armor pieces for players to pursue. Featuring possibly the wildest selection of bright bits and bobs Bungie has attached to an armor set up until now, anyone who wants to participate in the celebration of 2022’s Solstice event can not only unlock, but also upgrade this all-new set of gear....

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t tease or reveal any new Destiny 2 details, but balancing announcements with exciting reminders as to why the game is so great is equally important. It’s important to remember that what will ultimately determine Destiny 2’s success isn’t a bulleted list of features and new content, but rather how much players enjoy the game. This trailer does a great job of showing how Destiny 2 players will have fun in the Crucible playing PvP....

[HTML1] Fans of Destiny are in for another shock regarding the rapidly shifting economy in Bungie’s sci-fi shooter/MMO hybrid. While gamers knew Destiny: The Taken King was already getting a microtransactional currency called Silver, the decision was thought to be mostly cosmetic, as Bungie remained adamant they would avoid abusing the highly controversial pay system. However, information surfaced today on Destiny’s armory database that tells a very different story; one that involves players trading money out of their wallet for consumables that can both save time and provide an advantage over other gamers....

Newton is guaranteed only $550,000 for 2020, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Thursday. The contract does have a maximum value of $7.5 million, but it has a base of only $1.05 million. To get anywhere near the max, Newton will need to earn $700,000 per-game roster bonuses and hit $5.75 million in incentives. When Newton signed his second contract with the Panthers in 2015 before leading them to the Super Bowl as NFL MVP, he received $41 million of his $103....

Update 1.2.3 is coming Tuesday, July 17, and Bungie has recently released information on what content is on the horizon, as well as what the incoming update will change or add to Destiny 2. Among the many changes announced are plans to remove the Prismatic Matrix from the game. Bungie laid out the reasons for this change on its blog, stating that the feature was being tested as a way to provide players a better chance to obtain Eververse items they’ve had their eyes on, and was always meant to temporary....

Throughout the lore in Destiny 2, the God of War is bestowed upon Xivu Arath to use her power to promote combat, war, and other grand conflicts to enhance her strength and life. Being eons old, Xivu Arath has influenced the destruction of countless civilizations and wars, feeding off the violence and death that each brings. As the forces of Darkness mobilize for a second Collapse in the Sol System under Destiny 2’s The Witness, Xivu Arath steps more out of the shadows....

Since the launch of Destiny 2, fans have been clamoring for any sort of news on SRL or the Sparrow Racing League. Bungie has continued to be mum on the subject, though thanks to the recently released seasonal calendar, the upcoming Dawning event may provide a major clue. The Witch Queen is the fourth major expansion for Destiny 2 and will pit guardians against the titular Hive god of deception and her Light-imbued Hive guardians of the Lucent Brood. Players will need to investigate Savathun’s Throne World to learn how she gained the Light for herself, separate fact from fiction when it comes to her history, and ultimately take back the Light. Players will go into battle with a suite of refreshed abilities and new weapons, some which can be crafted, to thin the ranks of the Lucent Brood and reach Savathun....

The new Destiny 2 Strike is called Proving Grounds, and it is located on Nessus. Players that have been playing Destiny 2 Battlegrounds regularly will recognize the beginning area of the Strike, as it was featured in the first Battlegrounds that was ever added to the game. To commemorate the Strike’s release, Bungie has released a new trailer that shows off some of Proving Grounds gameplay and sets the stage for the story....

The Destiny 2 trailer shows a very Bane-esque Ghaul whose deep, throaty growl of a voice and intimidating armor make him immediately recognizable as a Destiny 2 enemy. It’s a dreary opening scene that carries forward the storyline of Ghaul invading Earth and destroying everything the Guardians hold dear. In addition to giving gamers a better idea of the power and stature of Ghaul, the trailer also shows off some compelling gameplay of Destiny 2’s new weapons and abilities....

Vault of Glass was the first raid released for the original Destiny, implemented in a September 2014 update to the game. The raid was not only the game’s first, but also one of its most popular raids, and fans have been looking forward to its return to the game. Accompanying the addition of the raid to Destiny 2, Bungie are also adding a new Contest Mode, which will hand out various prizes to players who are among the first to clear Vault of Glass....

Next time the full curse comes around on October 30th, Bungie promises that the spawn rate for the Ascendant Primeval will be better. In fact, the developer says that Destiny 2 players will be just as likely the see the Ascendant Primeval as any other Gambit boss. No doubt this change is sure to please those players who were frustrated by the low spawn rate of the Ascendant Primeval. Sure, there is something to be said for having a rare spawn rate, but an argument could be made that it was a little too low....

During the most recent of Bungie’s Weekly Updates for Destiny, Community Manager David “DeeJ” Dague addressed the new materials’ inclusion, writing, “The February Update includes more than Crimson Days. There are more bullets we’ll be firing to impact the quality of your Guardian lifestyle. Pay us a visit next week for a preview.” Of course, there’s not even a hint at what else will be added at this point in time, so folks are left unknowingly scratching their heads....

Destiny players can now purchase a subclass boost from the Xbox Live Marketplace or the PlayStation Store. This package allows for a single Guardian to take a shortcut to level 25, as well as completely upgrading one subclass and providing some telemetries as a bonus. A similar item was included with the purchase of The Taken King, as a means of bringing new players up to speed with veterans. That’s an important job in any game with as much grind as Destiny, but it’s the pricing of the tool that has some fans worried for the future, as it costs $30....

Of course, the game itself has had its fair share of rough patches, but that’s never really phased the hardcore Destiny 2 community. Plenty of players have stepped away or felt burnt out from the game, especially with the early beginnings of the seasonal approach with Shadowkeep. However, even though things have slowly evolved and changed over time for the better, the general Destiny community has stuck around since the beginning....
