Players quickly starting testing the Witherhoard exotic to see its damage potential, but as the season has stretched into its first week they made a bigger discovery. The two new swords introduced with Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals might be some of the best weapons in the game. Several of the best weapons to craft are from the new Raid, Vow of the Disciple, which features incredible weapon perks and one of the best Origin Traits available in Destiny 2. Among these weapons, one of the most outstanding is a Special grenade launcher called Forbearance, and the reason why it can be so good is that its perk pool includes both Ambitious Assassin and Chain Reaction, which can roll together....

With Season of the Lost, the loot pool became even bigger, as it does every time a new Season drops. There are new and reprised weapons, armor sets, and even Exotics. However, Destiny 2’s famous alien, Xur, is now selling Legendary weapons and armor sets as well as the usual Exotic class-specific items and Exotic Engrams, which helps a lot. The Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 is erroneously marking players’ accolades as incomplete, backtracking progress on Seals and Triumphs, resetting exotic weapon catalyst progress, and causing other issues. Destiny 2 players are reporting on various social media sites and forums that they are encountering a bug that is reversing the completion of some Triumphs and is incorrectly counting others; they are popping up as “recently completed” even when they were previously redeemed....

While Destiny 2 fans will have to wait until next week to see Nessus in all its glory, Bungie has released a trailer teasing what players can expect from the new destination. On top of that, the footage offers a better understanding of how certain activities in Destiny 2 will work, including Lost Sectors, Adventures, and Public Events. For such a short teaser, there really is a lot packed into the Nessus gameplay footage....

Thankfully, Season of the Chosen also introduced more than a few worthy weapons into the Destiny 2 loot pool including a couple of rocket launchers that are a hit with fans. For example, Code Duello comes with new perks introduced this season, giving them very strong damage output while also being pretty easy to obtain through regular activities. However, it seems that the game’s best rocket launcher may be virtually impossible to obtain....

In addition to a major expansion, Season 3 also has plenty of content updates, new features, and fixes to the core game. In addition to some highly requested items like a multi-emote wheel, private matches, and challenge cards, Bungie revealed a Crucible rank system for fans of PvP combat. The Valor Rank, attached to Quickplay and weekly rotating playlists, offers a progression system that increases for matches played. For the competitive playlist, the Glory Rank is based on skill and performance as progression can fluctuate based on wins and losses similar to other games like Overwatch....

In a recent post, Bungie also laid out a few other items which will no longer be obtainable once season 4 comes to an end. Outside of a few Iron Banner triumphs, the Vanguard and Crucible have seasonal triumphs related to hitting a specific rank. When season 4 ends, the ranks are reset which means many players will need to begin the long climb once more. Players grinding for the Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten hand cannon weapons will also want to finish up prior to the end of season 4 as both weapons have specific rank requirements in order to unlock....

While Destiny players were busy poking around trying to find the secret behind the final chest in Wrath of the Machine, one found a way to skip past the entire Siege Machine boss fight. Now, it’s important to point out that this also skips the Siege Machine loot drop, but it does not eliminate the exotic chest right after the fight. To get through the Siege Machine fight without actually beating the boss, players need only hop on the railing on the right of the big giant walls....

Bungie community manager DMG confirmed that the quest is bugged on Twitter, but Destiny 2 players had their suspicions. As soon as the Seraph Tower portion of the quest was complete, players raced to complete the shotgun kills step and everyone ended up with this bug. Bungie is still trying to find out if there is anyone out there who is not experiencing the bug, but it sounds like it is a game-wide issue....

Almost each week has seen new content added to the game, such as the maximum light update to 400 and the arrival of the Heroic mode for the Wrath of the Machine raid. Things don’t stop there though as fans are once again in for a special treat this week as Halloween arrives early to Destiny with the Festival of the Lost special event. The announcement lacked something significant: there was a mysterious absence of any information for PS4, PS3, or Xbox 360 release. BioWare confirmed the lack of information was due to an exclusivity deal, but still doesn’t have a set release date for other systems beyond sometime in May. EA isn’t the only company to engage in these blatantly exploitative exclusivity deals—they’re a pretty common way of milking extra money out of consumers—but what they aren’t realizing is that these deals hurt everyone....

Two weeks ago, a patch tweaked weapon balances and improved the squad user interface and Battlelog features, while last week’s PS3 client update came with a ton of changes as well. Previous updates failed to include some of the long-awaited updates including the taclight tweaks and vehicle horns, but tomorrow’s Battlefield 3 PC patch does address some of the long-awaited fixes. The next major update (for PC) will release tomorrow at 8AM GMT where the servers may be down for a few hours for as DICE upgrades their central system....

The plane that arrived from Indianapolis was evacuated after arriving at LaGuardia Airport on Saturday afternoon with passengers told to get onto the tarmac due to a security issue. According to a statement sent to CNN from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey the flight was evacuated “in response to reports by passengers of suspicious and erratic behavior by a fellow passenger.” Port Authority spokesman Thomas Topousis told the network that passengers at one point became scared when the suspect reached for his luggage....

According to Bungie, Prestige Eater of Worlds and Prestige Spire of Stars will be the only way to earn weapons at power level 400 before the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken. As far as armor is concerned, the Solstice of Heroes event will be the source for 400 power level versions of that gear. An extra 20 points of power is sure to be enticing to a lot of Destiny 2 players out there, and will likely make some of the harder endgame activities (like Escalation Protocol and these Prestige lairs) a little easier....

While Destiny 2 is no stranger to epic boss fights, the titular Disciple of the pyramid raid, Rhulk, is a particularly aggressive example. With fast, aggressive attacks, an unexpectedly agile move-set, and tight DPS phases that leave no room for mistakes, dealing with Rhulk is a highlight of the new raid.
