In the past, Bungie has remained rather tight-lipped on whether or not we will ever experience Destiny on PC, as the studio made it clear to most fans that they would be focusing their efforts more on console versions of the title. In fact, the notion became especially obvious after its partnership with Sony to release a special edition The Taken King PS4 console bundle. However, it now seems as if the game developer might be prepping to port Destiny for the PC....

Back in the early days of Destiny, when content was much sparser that it is now, the game’s community grew fond of testing their skill with self-imposed restrictions like solo runs or time trials. Pretty soon, the Guardians at the top of the tree started to look for more unusual ways to show off their abilities. Now, a Reddit user going by the handle GladHeAteHer182 has managed to single-handedly defeat Crota, using a Rock Band 4 drum kit as his controller of choice....

With The Taken King, Bungie vastly improved its storytelling over what fans experienced in the game’s first year, but the expansion also brought more Grimoire to be unlocked, and it is no less substantial. In fact, the lore contained within the Grimoire cards provides context to the events of the main game. More specifically, The Taken King introduced a set of Grimoire cards called the Books of Sorrow, which unlocked by finding Calcified Fragments....

While fans continue to wait for initial details, the long awaited final update for Destiny arrives today as well. Age of Triumph celebrates players and their accomplishments throughout the past three years by offering a massive record book to complete. In addition to new quests, loot that includes elemental primaries, and new daybreak strikes, all four raids have been completely revamped and updated with new challenges, new gear sets, and a higher difficulty to help get players to maximum light level....

This will mark the first English-language release of Detective Pikachu, which originally launched in Japan back in winter 2016. As seen in the trailer below, Western audiences will soon be able to experience a story involving a talking Pikachu and his human sidekick as they help out Pokemon in need. The Witch Queen will likely build on this even more, but Destiny’s current season seems to be the temporary pinnacle of seeing it applied. As each of them has their core motives and drives that relate to their Worms, they also seem to have fallen into a pattern that relates to biblical theology, the seven deadly sins. These can be simplified and categorized into three types of evil thoughts: Lustful Appetite, Corruption of the Mind, and Wrath....

The Last Wish raid from the soon-to-be-vaulted Forsaken expansion made some of the most progress when it comes to pushing the narrative of Destiny 2 forward, and forced Guardians to face one of the strongest entities yet. The raid for The Witch Queen expansion has the potential to do the same, with some of its key enemies possibly shrouded by a thin veil of obscurity. Right now, the most concrete information fans have been given is that players will need to venture into the heart of a sunken pyramid ship in Savathun’s throne world to confront an ancient danger that has been imprisoned....

The arrival of the pyramid ships and the “Darkness” threat not only means that players will have access to brand new sub-classes and abilities but also that the Traveler could potentially start to play a much larger role in the game’s narrative. At the end of The Red War, the Traveler was supposedly awoken but has played little to no role in Destiny 2’s story ever since. Bungie is now stuck between a rock and a hard place where it runs the risk of doing too little or too much with the Traveler to satiate players desire for more story and lore....

The HELM was first introduced last season, Season of the Chosen, as a hub area within the tower. Throughout the season the HELM acted as a hub for players to launch a variety of seasonal activities, and while the HELM’s future beyond Season 13 was not clear, it seems that it may play a similar role in the new season in addition to all of Destiny 2 Season 14’s other additions....

While Bungie had been revealing various sandbox changes to the lead up of Season 15, one thing that the studio left out of the reveal was a roadmap. Seasonal content roadmaps had been a popular element to season reveals, giving fans a sneak peak at what they could expect over the next few months, with a few secrets built in. The calendar of upcoming content has been a standard now for the past couple of years, though the company has remained silent on why Season of the Lost was revealed without one....

Bungie has plans to continue releasing content for Destiny 2, with Lightfall planned for early 2023 release and The Final Shape after to complete the first saga of the game called the Light and Darkness Saga. Despite these plans, Bungie itself has planned to create future IPs that are hoped to hit the market around 2025. While that year is still far off, in 2018, Bungie filed a trademark in the EU for ‘Matter,’ believed to be the next planned IP....

The Darkness-based group known by the community as The Veil is a rumor that Destiny 2 fans seem unable to let go of. The latest theory comes from the Destiny 2 subReddit where MineralMan105 presents their case based on current facts with the game as well as another theory from YouTuber evanf1997. The video attempts to prove why Bungie could still be adding a third enemy race to Europa using in-game evidence such as the humanoid looking statues inside the Darkness ship, lore, teasers, and general theories....

In Destiny: The Taken King, guardians faced off and defeated the angry Hive god Oryx. It was a victory to be sure, but Oryx isn’t the only Hive god out there. Oryx was actually only one of three brothers, the other two of which are both Hive gods themselves. Lore fans have been speculating as to whether or not either of Oryx’s siblings would be featured in-game. Well, this latest Destiny 2: Forsaken trailer might have just teased the arrival of Savathun, the “Witch-Queen....

One new cheat has started to affect players’ experiences in the Trials of Osiris playlist as it allows players to drain their opponent’s health from a much larger distance than should be possible. Considering the competitive nature of this game mode, running into cheaters like this can really kill the mood for some Destiny 2 players who are on their way to the coveted flawless run. As seen in the video from the Maetal Militia clan below, the group decided to put together a heartfelt tribute to their fallen Guardian companion by collecting and compiling some clips of the clan fighting alongside their friend. Not only does the footage feature the clan posing together in various situations throughout the science fiction shooter’s landscape, but also it includes a moment in which GiorgioButon managed to deal the fatal blow to Crota in Destiny’s Crota’s End raid campaign....

Would-be Guardians in Destiny’s subreddit were given the news by user white2234, with the Redditor posting a screenshot of Funko Pop’s CEO Brian Mariotti announcing that his company would be creating models inspired by Bungie’s action-RPG. Although the toy manufacturer’s CEO didn’t state exactly when the figures would make their way into the market, or how much they would cost, he did also reveal that there are plenty of other video game franchises receiving the Funko Pop treatment as well....

To celebrate the launch of Wrath of the Machine as the weekly featured raid, a new two-man Destiny team has taken on the Aksis Challenge. That means only two players were responsible for taking out the Captains with canons, killing the elemental servitors, throwing the SIVA charges, dispensing their supercharge, and stunning Aksis. It’s a crazy raid encounter even for a full six-player fireteam, but two certainly requires a lot of coordination, practice, and understanding of the boss fight’s mechanics....

This seems to be a middle ground between the elemental primaries that rose to the top of Destiny’s PvE scene in the game’s first year and the removal of elements from Legendary primaries in The Taken King. Choosing to run with an elemental primary will now cost a player his or her only exotic slot, but it could very well be worth it especially during Nightfalls, Strikes, and other PvE content that has a Burn active....

For some bizarre reason, Destruction AllStars automatically turns on voice chat when players enter an online match through the DualSense controller microphone. Stranger still, there is no option in the game to turn this feature off permanently. So what this means is that Destruction AllStars players have to go into the PlayStation menu and manually turn off Destruction AllStars’ voice chat each game. RELATED: Destruction AllStars Trophy List While there’s an easy fix, it’s certainly not convenient, and so fans have been complaining about Destruction AllStars’ voice chat implementation online....

That’s why the debut of a new Iron Banner emote this week left Destiny 2 players scratching their heads. The emote, called “Salute of the Lords,” is only available through a special Iron Banner Emote Bundle at Eververse that can be purchased for 1100 Silver (which comes out to $10 US). Fans thought surely the emote must also be available in rank up packages from Lord Saladin, right? Wrong. Bungie’s community manager Cozmo took to Reddit to say that the emote does not drop anywhere else....
