Nearly five years after launch, Destiny 2 is still going strong as a live service multiplayer first-person shooter. With multiple expansions bringing hours of campaign content, dungeons, and raids, along with 17 seasons of unique events under its belt, Destiny 2 players always have something new to look forward to. Destiny 2 is lauded for its snappy and satisfying gunplay, its intense teamwork-oriented raids, and its huge collection of weapons and equipment that players may use to create unique builds to bring into the fight....

However, the tales of Dreaming City don’t seem to be ending yet with the current story. The upcoming weekly reset in Destiny 2 for the second week of February will bring in the Hollowed Lair Nightfall for all difficulties alongside bonus Vanguard rank gains. There will also be a new Vault of Glass challenge and Clash in the Crucible. This week brings Lord Saladin back to the Tower with an all new Iron Banner event. While the many changes Bungie has promised won’t actually kick off until after season 2 begins, PC players now have their first opportunity to jump in and try out the unique mode. Even with loot still tied heavily to reputation tokens and RNG, players will get to experience a different style of PvP combat this week in the Iron Banner with Clash....

In a recent interview, Destiny 2 art director Mike Zak confirmed that the game will not offer cross-platform saves and said “yeah” when asked if players are more or less locked into their choice of platform. Zak said that “Hopefully, you’re going to find a platform where you’ve got friends and stick to that one.” The art director also pointed out that those who want to switch platforms can use Destiny 2’s new Guided Games system or the built-in clan support to “make new friends....

It really is surprising to realize that the franchise, including only Destiny and Destiny 2, has been going strong and constantly adding new content since 2014, with new expansions regularly gracing the first looter shooter and, eventually, a transition to the proper sequel. One of those expansions, which added the King’s Fall Raid to the original Destiny, has been a fan favorite since its release, and one fan had a unique way to show their love....

SIVA Offerings When exploring the Plaguelands, players are sure to earn a few SIVA Offerings, the key to starting a round of the new Archon’s Forge arena mode. SIVA Offerings can be found as a random drop by killing Devil Splicers in the Plaguelands, or one is guaranteed to drop per day by completing one of the new Quarantine Patrol missions. They can also drop within Archon’s Forge itself. There are three levels of SIVA Offerings: Fused, Enhanced, and Perfected....

It is the discovery of Black Spindle, within the Daily Heroic version of the mission ‘Lost to Light’, that has ignited the Destiny community. For example, the Destiny subreddit has been filled with threads where players share theories of possible secrets inside each day’s Daily Heroic mission. Levels are being scoured for secret passageways and objects in hopes that something will trigger a quest or drop the next elusive Exotic reward....

Bungie has announced that the bounty of Strange Coins and Motes of Light “should” be arriving today, but the developer has yet to clarify as to whether or not the they’ve officially been delivered by way of Destiny’s in-game Postmaster. Bearing that in mind, the studio has made players aware that they may need to make room in their inventory to accept the loot. Regarding the matter, Bungie wrote:...

Travelers, a Netflix and Showcase co-produced science fiction series, snuck in a Destiny Easter egg in its first season. After premiering on the Canadian channel Showcase on October 17, Travelers found its home on Netflix on December 23 and received generally positive reviews – but the series really grabbed viewers’ and Destiny fans’ attention in episode 8, “Donner.” The Canadian show is a typical dramatic sci-fi: It centers around a special operatives team, who are known as “Travelers,” that bands together to prevent societal collapse and change the fate of our world....

On May 31, 2016 Bungie applied for a trademark of the title Rise of Iron for use in “interactive game software; video game software” and reserving its use across multiple media forms (as is standard in many of Bungie’s past trademarks related to Destiny). The full trademark details can be found here. Even though the art leaked and this trademark has been found, Bungie has remained silent on Rise of Iron....

The Courier-Journal of Louisville cited the arrest citation issued to Willis as stating he was found “laying in the middle of the street” in Union, Ky., which is 17 miles south of Cincinnati. A Boone County sheriff’s deputy found Willis outside the open door of a vehicle at 4:57 a.m. Saturday. The deputy said Willis told him he’d had “a lot” to drink. He was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and was released after eight hours when his $50 bail was posted....

The more said about the Montreal Screwjob, the less. Bret Hart losing his WWE Championship to Shawn Michaels despite never tapping out to the Sharpshooter applied by the latter has been discussed to death by fans. The endlessly fascinating incident, which created furor backstage, has kept fans riveted. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo disclosed some juicy details about how The Undertaker reacted. Russo recalled that The Phenom, who was sitting beside him backstage, lost his cool upon seeing Bret Hart lose the WWE Championship....

For the “Rockstar Energy Crucible Challenge” a leaderboard has been set up that will ultimately reward those at the top when the challenge ends on March 11. Climbing up the leaderboard requires many hours spent in the Crucible, not necessarily a high amount of skill. Points are gained by each game played, awarding 25 points for every completed game in the Competitive or Quickplay playlist. Every kill or assist adds an additional 1 point to that total....

Destination materials will now serve multiple functions as Destiny 2 enters into the Forsaken expansion and its Year 2. Instead of earning Tokens and turning them in for reputation on each destination, destination materials will now serve that function. Additionally, destination materials will now be a part of the cost for infusing weapons and armor, instead of just Glimmer and Legendary Shards. But players shouldn’t go dismantling all the Tokens in their inventory....

But in an interview with Glixel, Cotton went a little more in depth about what players will be able to do in Destiny 2’s four new worlds. The first being Adventures, which have been described as side missions given to the player by NPCs in the world. Cotton said that Adventures are “10-to-15-minute-long missions with narrative and dialogue and they take you to new places and they do new things – new mechanics....

But as for the upcoming exotic trace rifle that will hit Destiny 2 this season, according to the datamine shared by Ffom on the Raid Secrets subreddit, the exotic is called Ruinous Effigy. It’s exotic perk is called Transmutation, which reads, “Final blows with this weapon collapse victims into Void Transmutation spheres.” While that sounds interesting enough, it has a secondary perk called Evolution, which gives players the ability to wield the Void Transmutation spheres as weapons....

However, in the time since Smith’s announcement, Bungie has been relatively quiet with regards to additional details. They acknowledged that the Destiny Challenge Modes are real, but would not say when players might see them added or what rewards they might offer. That being said, Luke Smith did confirm one widely held assumption about the Challenge Modes: that the three boss fights hold the remaining Calcified Fragments. So far Destiny players have collected 47 of the Ghost remnants, but those last three remained elusive....

This newest glitch allows for Sunbreaker Titans and Bladedancer Hunters to have infinite Supers, which will last until that player’s character is killed or part of the glitch is reversed. Worst of all, this glitch will work in both PvE and PvP. The glitch was posted to the Destiny subreddit, showing how to accomplish it. It requires players to activate their Super while also getting onto their Sparrow, then swapping to and from a Primary weapon....
