While plenty of Destiny 2 players will likely wait until the weekend to try the Crown of Sorrow raid, others will make an attempt on Day 1, either for fun or as part of the World First race. For those players we have a few tips on how to prepare for the raid in such a short amount of time. Because Bungie eliminated the ability to “hoard bounties” with Season 6, the focus ahead of Season 7 is on preparing quests, missions, and bounties that are necessary to complete larger bounties that grant powerful rewards....

But a Destiny 2 fan has put together a new section of his site to help players know exactly that. A new beta section of DestinySets.com now displays mods, and if players authorize this third-party application to access their Destiny information via Bungie.net, it will show which mods a particular player already has. Fans have found new UI images and a lore entry for a certain rumored Destiny 1 exotic making its return in the near future in the sequel. After doing some digging, players discovered that the Destiny 2 database contains UI images and a lore tab entry for Thunderlord, the exotic heavy machine gun from Destiny 1. Ginsor over ot the Destiny subreddit posted images that show not only the UI image for Thunderlord but also images of two ornaments called Hypervelocity and Ta’aurc’s Wrath that will be available for the weapon....

As revealed by Twitch streamer Gigz, who attended the recent Destiny Community Summit, the Warmind DLC will include a change that moves weapon quests to a section in the menu called ‘Pursuits.’ The clip below shows the On the Comms weapon quest (which unlocks the Legend of Acrius exotic shotgun) dropping into this new section. Previously, when a weapon quest would drop it would occupy a slot in the player’s inventory, thereby limiting the number of weapons they could take into battle....

Writing in a new blog post Bungie explains that from December 5, Destiny 2 players will receive more tokens for completing activities. Daily challenges will reward players with more Reputation Tokens and Strikes will also drop more Vanguard Reputation Tokens. Common quality Destination Resource Tokens drop rates will increase by 100%, while the “values per Token increased as well (by 50% for common quality Tokens and 250% for rare quality Tokens)....

This news comes from a recent article in The New York Times, which focused on the role of female characters in gaming. As those that have been following ReCore since its announcement will know, the game features a female protagonist, and thanks to the New York Times article, we now know a little bit more about the game. Firstly, the female protagonist is named Joule, and she is on a journey to save humanity....

The hybrid first-person shooter/MMO Destiny 2 features a wide array of powerful weapons, divided into several classes. Exotic class weapons are the highest tier of weapons available in the game, with each having an ability unique to the specific weapon type, and naturally being incredibly rare. Chief among those changes, at least as far as the story is concerned, is a game-wide replacement of Peter Dinklage’s voice work as Ghost. Now, and moving forward, Nolan North is the voice actor for Ghost, and any trace of Dinklage’s performance has been wiped from existence. In addition to replacing Dinklage’s voice, Bungie claimed that Nolan North also recorded new dialogue for Destiny that’s meant to further enrich the story....

The method has to do with the new Challenge of the Elders mode. While players can complete a Elders’ Sigil scorecard (check out Game Rant’s guide on how to do it in two runs) once per week to get a high-level weapon and armor drop, the mode can still be played endlessly for engrams, drops, and reputation. As reported previously, when Rise of Iron is released, it will only be coming to current generation consoles—the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As a result of the separate track older consoles will be put on, the deadline to complete Moments of Triumph on PS3 and Xbox 360 has been moved up to August 16, 2016. The message was sent to specifically let players know that day will be their last chance to get the rewards and the code for a special t-shirt that can be purchased online once the Moments of Triumph have been completed:...

In addition to the alterations brought to Destiny’s Control mode, Dague also said Bungie has “taken additional steps to increase the emphasis on connection quality,” explaining that lag should no longer be much of an issue, with skill ratings being a less important factor in matching up players. That said, it’ll be easier for fans to take part in the game with friends who are more or less skilled than their Guardian, but it should be noted that the same thing applies to opponents, meaning that depending on who players match-up with, winning may be an effortless feat or an even more difficult task....

The erstwhile Destiny gamer elaborated on just how unusually long it’s been since Destiny fans were given an update on where the game was headed, as The Taken King, though it received an overwhelmingly positive reception, came out in September. Bungie has already confirmed that the next major update to Destiny won’t come until after February, which will make it a minimum of seven months between major content releases. TripleWRECK and many others feel that’s simply too long for a game that promised frequent DLC add-ons and significant updates....

Festival of the Lost is coming back, and developer Bungie says it will be bigger and better than ever. Today, a new trailer for Festival of the Lost debuted and a release date was revealed. Festival of the Lost will start Tuesday, October 25th and will run for two weeks until November 8th. [HTML1] Many of the items that will be available this year have already been leaked ahead of the trailer, but the trailer shows off a number of them....

As announced on stream, Vault of Glass, Crota’s End, and King’s Fall will all return with a 390 Light Hard Mode, bringing it to parity with the Wrath of the Machine raid. In addition to the increased Light level, the raids will also feature new Challenge Modes. Two of those Challenge Modes were confirmed to be Templar Challenge and Atheon Challenge, and it is likely that Crota’s End will have two as well....

Black Forest Games has confirmed that it is taking the audio from the original Destroy All Humans! and improving the quality of it for the new game. “It’s the audio from the original game, with the same legendary delivery of lines from the original voice actors,” the studio said to US Gamer in a statement. This means that yes, Invader Zim and original Pox voice actor Richard Horvitz will still be heard in the Destroy All Humans!...

The writer recently finished working on Paramount’s upcoming film adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog, which is set to release later this year. During the PlayStation presentation at Paris Games Week, Sony presented a brand new Detroit: Become Human trailer that confirms the game’s release window. After initially being penciled in for a 2018 launch, Sony now says that Quantic Dream’s narrative title will be available in spring 2018. Unfortunately, the new trailer was not any more specific than that, meaning the game could launch anytime between March 20 and June 21....
