With a price tag of $400, some might argue the money would be better going towards a new PS5 or Xbox Series X this holiday season — or a considerable amount of groceries. And while it’s hard to debate that logic, there are destined to be some that want the extra special edition of Destroy All Humans, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Luckily for them, the Crypto-137 edition is now live for pre-order.

Releasing on July 28, Destroy All Humans Crypto-137 edition includes quite a few goodies for players, though the main draw is the 23" statue of Crypto included with it. There’s also a deeply unsettling Crypto backpack that looks like the wearer is giving Crypto a piggyback ride, though, judging by the photo, it may be able to pass as an odd-shaped plush. Those that purchase the Destroy All Humans collector’s edition will also receive digital skins for Crypto in-game, adding some additional spice while playing. Those that don’t have room for a 23" statue of an alien may want to consider the DNA collector’s edition, which comes in at a relatively reasonable price of $150. The DNA collector’s edition includes a 9" statue of Crypto’s ship instead of the 23" one, and loses the backpack, but appears to be pretty much the same other than that.
The price tag for the Crypto-137 edition may be a tad bit ridiculous, but there’s undoubtedly a market for it out there. The pre-order is now live on most retailers, so those interested should be able to find it on their preferred website. It is possible that it sells out, however, so those that want it may need to act fast to pick it up.
