In the past, Bungie has remained rather tight-lipped on whether or not we will ever experience Destiny on PC, as the studio made it clear to most fans that they would be focusing their efforts more on console versions of the title. In fact, the notion became especially obvious after its partnership with Sony to release a special edition The Taken King PS4 console bundle. However, it now seems as if the game developer might be prepping to port Destiny for the PC.

According to Bungie’s career page, the studio is currently looking to hire a “PC Compatibility Tester” to be in charge of assessing a video game’s condition on computers. While the job’s responsibilities are similar to a Quality Assurance position, this one is more specific in that its priority lies in making sure a title works for PC. Regarding the matter, the official rundown of the role is as follows:

Additionally, the job description goes on to imply that Bungie is making a PC title within the organization. To be specific, one of the position’s requirements lists the “ability to work in a cross-discipline environment with a desire to work closely with designers and engineers to verify their systems work properly across multiple PC hardware configurations”.

While Destiny’s potential jump to PC is still entirely speculative, it’s really the only rational explanation as to why the studio would list the opening on their page. For example, Bungie has previously divulged that they have a plan for Destiny spanning the course of 10 years, so it’s obvious that most, if not all of their upcoming work will be concentrated on developing more content for the title. Nevertheless, since the reasons behind the posting of the “PC Compatibility Tester” position are practically non-existent, the game developer could eventually surprise everyone with a brand new release, but it’s more likely we will be seeing Destiny on PC some time in the future.

Destiny: The Taken King is set for release on September 15, 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
