While there are plenty of franchises that inspire cosplay, the sci-fi setting of the Destiny games means that extra effort is required from fans. This is certainly the case for Twitter user Spartan Jenzil who has created an incredible outfit that looks impressive despite not being finished. The costume appears to be the result of months of work.

The Twitter user has been updating their progress on the costume since February and the look is coming together in stunning detail. The outfit is fitted with red LED lights, a huge headdress and other tweets suggest that the rest of the outfit will be just as detailed. Many Twitter users have responded to the progress pictures and videos by praising the concept and accuracy of the costume. A lot of the comments are also expressing joy at seeing an underrated character being recreated in real life. The early reception of this cosplay suggests that it will one of the fan bases favorite Destiny cosplays and with over 5 months of work behind it, this recognition would be well deserved.
Updates to Destiny 2 are currently delayed because of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, but it seems that the fans of the title are keeping the game alive through these kinds of activities. Furthermore, this cosplay appears to have fans excited to return to older elements of the game that didn’t gather much attention when they were originally released. With that in mind, many fans may be tempted to now revisit the Broodhold story and takedown Ananh once again.
While Destiny 2 may have split player opinion, it is clear that a dedicated fan base has been built that looks set to continue. With this in mind, the direction Bungie took with an online-focused game that supplies a stream of new content seems to have been a wise endeavor.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
