In a section of the blog post entitled ‘Age of Osiris’, Bungie informed Destiny 2 fans that the developer is aware of the recent issues preventing base game players from earning certain achievements. Due to a new level cap brought about by the Curse of Osiris DLC, beating or even playing the Leviathan Raid is no longer possible for those who cannot obtain the higher levels recommended for it.

Although it seems promising that the Destiny 2 developer has already addressed the issue, there’s no guarantee that the content will be unlocked for players once more. In fact, many annoyed members of the game’s fan-base are already speculating that Bungie is simply aiming to alter its achievement system in some way, rather than making the original content available for base game owners again.

What’s more, the popular Legend of Acrius exotic shotgun has also become locked behind a DLC paywall, making members of the title’s online forums suggest that Destiny 2 is transistioning into a subscription-based game. At the very least we can hope that Bungie will learn from its mistakes when it comes to the next DLC launch but, if serious change isn’t taken this time, the developer might have less gamers willing to open their wallets to continue playing.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Curse of Osiris DLC is available now on all platforms.
