Even with the PC version now available, Bungie is foregoing a Destiny tradition as the Halloween themed Festival of the Lost isn’t making an appearance in Destiny 2 this year. Bungie has confirmed that the focus of season 1 has been on the launch of the game and reintegrating ritual events such as Iron Banner, rather than previous holiday events. The Dawning is currently planned as the first major seasonal event, kicking the holiday festivities off during the start of season 2.

Whether on a console or jumped ship for the PC version, the weekly reset is here bringing with it a fresh set of challenges and milestones to overcome in Destiny 2. Here are the details on all of the new milestones, tasks, and events for the week of October 24, 2017.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

This week in the Nightfall, players will be boarding a Cabal ship to hunt down an arms dealer known as Bracus Zahn. Unlike other strikes, The Arms Dealer is almost exclusively Cabal oriented, so players should prepare to deal with waves of Psions, Legionnaires, and other Cabal-centric enemies.

Players immediately load into a battleground, so players will need to battle their way to a nearby console in order to open a set of doors which take them outside. Unfortunately, players won’t find any breathing room out here either as the next wave of enemies joins the fight. War Beasts will also arrive to try and overwhelm the fire team as they make their way through the ship to drop off charges are various points.

As the Fallen join the battle, players will come up against some powerful Cabal enemies such as a Colossus and a Goliath Tank. During these phases, players may want to spread out, as the tank won’t be able to damage all players at once. Continue following the path and taking out enemies until you reach the final boss room.

During the final fight, players will find that Zahn isn’t one to stick around to fight. Players are able to get a few shots in on the Cabal before he uses his jetpack to make a quick escape at which point players will chase after him until entering a large open area. At that point, the room floods with Cabal troops and auto-defense turrets. Thankfully the room is large enough to gain a bit of space for recovery when needed. Continue chipping away at his health and taking down his shields as quickly as possible to finally end the fight and earn those rewards.

Whether intentional or not, the active modifiers this week remain in place from last week’s switch. They are:

Torrent: Player abilities recharge much faster. Timewarp: Zero Hour: The mission timer cannot be extended.

The player challenges for this week are:

Speed of Dark requires the fireteam to finish the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining on the clock. To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths. Trash the Thresher requires players to shoot down a Thresher while fighting Bracus Zahn.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

As expected, the Flashpoint event moves back to Jupiter’s moon this week, where players will be going up against Vex, Taken, and Cabal. Just as it is each and every week, participating in multiple public events on the featured world completes the Flashpoint milestone. One thing to remember is that triggering Heroic events will help get the job done much faster, so players are encouraged to enable these events as often as they can. Once the milestone is complete, find Cayde-6 to earn a luminous planetary engram, and the week’s powerful gear.

As usual, make sure to speak to Cayde before venturing out to IO in order to grab his weekly treasure maps. Five hidden treasures await players and opening each one has a chance at offering unique rewards like an exotic engram. Keep in mind that Bungie added in a chest lockout timer for planetary chests to prevent farming. Unfortunately, this restriction also extends to Cayde’s stashes, so players are encouraged to take their time between treasure chests as opening too many in a short amount of time may result in no rewards being earned.

Here are the five general stash locations this week on IO:

The first one can be found near the Pyramidion in The Rupture so load in there and immediately head straight ahead to the main road. Follow it until you get to the main Pyramidion pit off to the right side. Work around the outer rim of the pit to the back left corner where a small path houses the first stash. Next, fast travel over to Giant’s Scar as the second chest sits between this zone and the Lost Oasis. After loading in, head down and to the right, following the path to the Lost Oasis sector. Cayde’s stash can be found glowing on top of a metal gate along this route. The next two treasures are found within Terrabase Charon in the north. The closest fast travel spot is Lost Oasis, so load in and follow the main pathway north. The first chest is found on the side of the first Cabal structure seen along the road to the left. Continue along this road into Terrabase Charon and the fourth chest can be found in the first main room where Taken and Vex are fighting. The chest is located on the left side, in a hidden alcove under a rock structure. The final treasure this week is found within the southernmost point on IO beyond the Endless Gate. Load in to The Rupture and immediately head toward the huge Vex structure, past the nearby pit where the first chest was found. Right beyond that point is a small tunnel that leads into the Endless Gate zone. Continue following the tunnels past the first Vex encounter room. The final chest can be found towards the back of the long Vex occupied bridge to the right side.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order

As it is each and every reset, the Leviathan Raid encounter order has once again changed. The long-term goal of this policy helps keep the mode fresh for players continually going in, but it also helps newer players get used to the Raid and gives them an opportunity to play each part even if struggling.

This week, the order is as follows:

Baths (Pools) Pleasure Gardens/War Beasts Gauntlet Emperor Calus

Lord Shaxx Crucible Milestone

The weekly Crucible milestone known as Call to Arms is active once again, giving players access to an easy way to earn some powerful loot. In simplest terms, players simply need to finish Crucible matches from either the Quickplay or Competitive playlists. Typically, finish anywhere from five to seven matches to earn a Luminous Engram from Shaxx which is guaranteed to boost that power level.

Call to Arms - Win glory by participating in Crucible matches.

And that’s all for this week, Guardians. Enjoy!

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
