In addition to a major expansion, Season 3 also has plenty of content updates, new features, and fixes to the core game. In addition to some highly requested items like a multi-emote wheel, private matches, and challenge cards, Bungie revealed a Crucible rank system for fans of PvP combat. The Valor Rank, attached to Quickplay and weekly rotating playlists, offers a progression system that increases for matches played. For the competitive playlist, the Glory Rank is based on skill and performance as progression can fluctuate based on wins and losses similar to other games like Overwatch.

While players anxiously wait for May 8, the weekly reset for Destiny 2 has finally arrived. Of course, this means that new content is available for players to work through for the next seven days including an updated Leviathan Raid order, a brand new Nightfall strike, a new Flashpoint location, and much more. Here’s everything that players need to know for the week of April 24, 2018.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

Nightfall Strike: A Garden World

Nightfall Challenges:

To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths. Players need to kill the Shielded Minotaurs in under 90 seconds in order to complete the final challenge for this week.

Nightfall Reward: Universal Wavefunction (Exotic Ship)

The Nightfall has once again shifted into Curse of Osiris territory, which means that non-expansion pack owners have a week off from Nightfall activities. Players are heading to Mercury to deal with an out of control Vex Mind in the missions known as A Garden World. Alongside the Nightfall this week, players have the opportunity to earn an exotic ship known as the Universal Wavefunction.

This DLC campaign mission sends players back through the Infinite Forest to enter a simulation in the past where the Vex first arrived on Mercury. During this phase, players will be squaring off against Vex and Fallen. Once players enter the simulation, the enemies shift to Vex and Cabal while also finding and destroying floating vex cubes. Destroying these remove the shields from nearby elite enemies so walk through the transparent dome and look up to take out the cube. Players will be repeating this multiple times throughout this section of the missions, using gravity lifts to continue the climb to the top of the tower.

By the end of the level, players will face off against the Vex Root Mind. This special cyclops Vex rotates 360 degrees around the platform, as well as summon randomized wall structures. Players will need to continue to move, take cover, as well as eliminate Vex enemies which flood the room. Avoid the big purple laser, take cover often, take out enemy mobs first, and the boss will fall in no time.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

Flashpoint Location: European Dead Zone

Players looking to complete the Flashpoint for this week can do so within the European Dead Zone. As one of the larges areas in the game, players should have no trouble finding and participating in public events. Make sure to trigger the heroic modifier on each event to earn a little extra towards completing the quest. Complete the quest to earn Cayde-6’s Luminous Engram which holds powerful gear.

The EDZ is also home to five new treasure chests to hunt down. To get started as a treasure hunter, visit Cayde in the Tower and purchase the maps he has for sale. Doing so will cause little map icons to appear on the minimap once inside the EDZ. Treasure varies wildly, so players can expect to see anything from rare gear, tokens, and shaders to unique emblems and exotic engrams.

Here’s a quick guide to the location of all five:

Trostland The first can be found on the second floor of the ruined house in the path heading to Maevic Square. Continue down the path into the Square, run to the left path the Fallen enemies and the chest can be found in the back of a rusted out bus on the side of the road. The Sludge After loading in, head up down towards the Outskirts. About halfway through this connecting area, the faint blue glow can be seen on a ledge off to the left side of the road. Firebase Hades The final two treasures can be found in this Cabal heavy zone. Chest one is sitting on a small ledge off the road right before Firebase Hades. The final chest is situated deep inside the firebase. Head through the main entrance and head through the main hangar doors. To the back of the room is an open door so run through there and hang a left once the next room is entered. Jump up through the hatch in the ceiling, then a second one to enter Legion’s Anchor. Alternatively, this chest is actually accessible from the Sunken Isles as well. So fast travel over to that zone and head towards the big ship in the middle of the zone. Instead of boarding the ship, head to the left and inside the big red structure. In the back of the main room is a door on the right side. Go there and follow the path until Legion’s Anchor is reached. Regardless of the direction, players will find plenty of Cabal to fight here. Run or battle through the first room and enter the second and head to the back of the space to find a sort of helipad. The chest can be found off the left side, hidden behind some metal boxes.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

The reset also shuffles around the Leviathan Raid encounter order. While this not only helps to keep the experience fresh for veteran players, it also helps players new to the experience get used to the Raid while also giving them an opportunity to play each part even if struggling.

The Leviathan Raid puts the spotlight on the Pleasure Gardens for the challenge, featuring the Cabal War Dogs. Need some help getting through this particular challenge or looking for a walkthrough to get through it faster? Head on over to our guide for tips, tricks, and more.

Raid order for April 24:

Gauntlet Baths (Royal Pools) Pleasure Gardens (War Dogs) - Challenge Emperor Calus

Crucible Milestone and Weekly Playlist

Call to Arms - Win glory by participating, getting kills, and finishing PvP matches from either the Quickplay or Competitive playlists. Finish the milestone and return to Shaxx to earn his weekly engram.

Heroic Strike Milestone

Heroic Strikes - Complete 3 heroic strikes.

For players looking for more of a challenge when playing strikes, the Heroic Strikes playlist is the way to go in Destiny 2. Players above the minimum recommended power level of 270 have an opportunity to score better loot at the end of the mission. Complete three of these this week to earn a powerful loot engram.

And that’s all for this week. Good luck, Guardians!
