With Season 2 nearing its end, players have begun to wonder when Bungie plans to reveal more on Season 3 or the second expansion rumored to be known as The Fallen Warmind. During a recent Bungie Bounty stream, David “DeeJ” Dague revealed that the studio is finalizing plans to start streaming future content later this month. It’s likely that Bungie will be breaking the content into multiple streaming sessions as they did for Curse of Osiris such as showing fans story elements, new loot, and new changes coming to the game at release.

In the meantime, however, the weekly Destiny 2 reset is finally here, bringing with it plenty of new content to run through. Players get a fresh selection of new content like an updated Leviathan Raid order, a brand new Nightfall strike, a new Flashpoint location, and much more. Here’s everything that players need to know for the week of April 10, 2018.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

Nightfall Strike: The Tree of Probabilities

Nightfall Challenges:

To earn Unbroken, the fireteam needs to complete the Nightfall with fewer than three deaths. Laser Challenge: Take five or fewer hits from the lasers in the Atlas Grove.

Nightfall Reward: D.F.A. Hand Cannon

With the Nightfall back on Mercury, vanilla Destiny 2 players, unfortunately, won’t have anything to do this week as it’s locked behind the Curse of Osiris expansion paywall. For those that own Curse of Osiris, the Tree of Probabilities sends players into the Infinite Forest to eliminate Red Legion cabal survivors. This Vex simulation focuses on the moment the cabal attack Mercury, so expect plenty of combat against both enemy types

The first section features a lot of combat, then mixing up gameplay segments by having players hop on Sparrows to navigate the terrain such as a huge gap and a laser infested path. Beyond that stretch, the level shifts back into combat where players go toe to toe with waves of cabal troops while also attempting to locate a map of the entire Infinite Forest and identifying the cabal leader there.

Towards the end of the mission, players will come across a Vex Gatelord as well as a Cabal Valus who is actually the main threat. With the Gatelord out of the picture, the Valus turns his sights on the fireteam. During this fight, take care to avoid the red laser beams that have popped up and after enough damage has been done, the Valus will attempt to flee. Chase and finish him off as well as his reinforcements to wrap up the mission.

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

Flashpoint Location: Nessus

Nessus is the new destination this week for players looking to earn that Luminous Engram for completing the Flashpoint milestone. Simply find a public event and participate in it to earn percentage points to completing this weekly milestone. To get it don’t slightly faster than normal, trigger the heroic modifier on the event.

A set of five new treasure chests are up for grabs this week, each offering a completely random set of rewards. Players could get anything from blue gear to emblems, to even a shot at an exotic engrams. Those willing to gamble with their glimmer can see Cayde-6 at the tower to buy his new set of five maps.

Here’s a quick guide to the location of all five:

Hallows Starting things off at Artifact’s Edge, players should jump down from the fast travel point and start heading towards the Hallows. Ignore or kill the nearby Vex and fall down the large hole into the caverns below. Head down the left side and continue straight on until you reach the Sunken Caverns. Using the floating rocks, continue jumping towards a ledge on the left side of the room where the glowing chest is waiting. Exodus Black Head to the back of the zone and the chest can be found off to the left just before entering the new zone where the strike mission begins. Glade of Echoes Arguably the easiest to nab of the set, fast travel back to The Cistern point, and head right. The final chest can be found in the hollowed-out Servitor husk. The Tangle The first chest in this zone is found through a cave situated in the lowest point of the map not too far from an Adventure called Release. Head into the cave entrance, follow the path until it splits. Head to the right side and the chest can be found right near the path as you cross into The Mists. Well of Dust The last chest is in the Southwest corner of The Tangle known as the Well of Dust.  Players will find a large cave with a triangle entrance etched into a rock face, so head inside and follow the path and down into a hole. After dropping down, immediately turn around to find the chest under some roots.

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

The reset also shuffles around the Leviathan Raid encounter order. While this not only helps to keep the experience fresh for veteran players, it also helps players new to the experience get used to the Raid while also giving them an opportunity to play each part even if struggling.

The raid challenge for this week is set on the Royal Pools aka Baths. Make sure to consult our guide for tips, tricks, and a general walkthrough of how to complete it.

Raid order for April 10:

Baths (Royal Pools) - Challenge Pleasure Gardens (War Dogs) Gauntlet Emperor Calus

Crucible Milestone and Weekly Playlist

Call to Arms - Win glory by participating, getting kills, and finishing PvP matches from either the Quickplay or Competitive playlists. Finish the milestone and return to Shaxx to earn his weekly engram.

Weekly Crucible Playlist - Iron Banner Rumble. Now with a lower player count.

Heroic Strike Milestone

Heroic Strikes - Complete 3 heroic strikes.

For players looking for more of a challenge when playing strikes, the Heroic Strikes playlist is the way to go in Destiny 2. Players above the minimum recommended power level of 270 have an opportunity to score better loot at the end of the mission. Complete three of these this week to earn a powerful loot engram.

And that’s all for this week. Good luck, Guardians!

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
