Originally credited to NAPainter, the Destiny 2 player and YouTuber known as Gladd put together a new video showing off the movement trick. Essentially, the movement trick is caused by quickly swapping weapons right as the super move is being used.

In this case, Gladd uses Blade Barrage at the height of his second jump, and right as the super is used, he swaps the currently equipped weapon to cancel it out. The process then repeats, and with the lift caused by the super activation, the Hunter continues to jump up and back almost like the character is flying until he reaches the end of the zone map, which gets him killed. To change the angle of the trajectory, players can look down for more height or up to descend back to the ground.

While unconfirmed, it’s likely this trick is only limited to the PC version of Destiny 2. Gladd shows off a special macro created on his gaming mouse which allows him to quickly make the movements necessary to cause the desired behavior. In this example, he sets his super button to the Ctrl key with a 0.15 second delay in between commands, followed by a swap weapons command with a 0.3 second delay, and then the process repeats itself.

The discovery comes at an interesting time, as Bungie recently announced that the widely accepted Titan skating move is about to receive a nerf in an upcoming update. While the move won’t be removed entirely, the developer is planning on eliminating the most extreme forms of it from keybinding and macros.

Bungie’s decision to nerf Titan skating is an effort to remove the unfair advantage it gives players versus those who utilize more traditional methods. With this recent Hunter discovery, it’s likely that Bungie will once again be taking a similar stance in a future Destiny 2 update.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
