Among them, Destiny 2 players can currently jump into the Legend version of the Cosmodrome PsiOp Battleground, which will rotate to the Moon version next week. While the Cosmodrome’s PsiOp Battleground doesn’t offer anything special over the others for players who have already finished the seasonal story, it’s where players can currently use a trick to get double rewards from the final chest. This mechanic is not too dissimilar from what happened in Season of Opulence’s Menagerie, and it’s very easy to pull off.

Destiny 2 YouTuber and content creator SneakyBeaver shared a video that explains how this trick works, and all players need to do is simply complete the activity as per usual, open the chest one time, and then run back to the previous area of the PsiOp Battleground. To do this, an efficient way is to use fast movement skills with no cooldown, such as Shield Bash or any sword with the Eager Edge perk to sword-skate and go faster. Once players exit the Cosmodrome area dedicated to the initial encounter with the Hive Knight and open the chests, they will be teleported right back there.

At this point, players can pay the 500 Psychogenic Intel to open the chest once more, getting more chances at Deepsight Resonance weapons and seasonal loot in general. Destiny 2’s Legend PsiOp Battleground rotation won’t be featuring the Cosmodrome area for two weeks after next Tuesday’s weekly reset, but players can still complete the Normal version of the PsiOp Battlegrounds and do the trick once they find themselves in the Cosmodrome.

It’s worth noting that Destiny 2 will be getting rid of some crafting materials next Season, which will lead to an easier approach to weapon crafting. As such, stockpiling Deepsight Resonance weapons now is a good idea to then craft better guns at a later time, and opening an additional chest per PsiOp Battleground run means that players are more likely to get them in a shorter amount of time than playing the activity back to back.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
