Destiny 2 is building up toward a major launch with the Lightfall expansion in early 2023. Guardians plundered the dark relics of Fallen pirates during Season of Plunder, advancing the main story further as the Vanguard’s forces grow to repel the impending threat of the Witness. Season of the Seraph has begun with Hive War God Xivu Arath attempting to seize control of Rasputin’s Seraph network. Players must band together to protect these Seraphs and repel Hive forces, and Assassin’s Creed fans may don special armor to represent their favorite franchise at the same time.

Bungie and Ubisoft revealed Assassin’s Creed armor ornaments are available to purchase from the Eververse store in Destiny 2. Warlocks may equip the signature Altair armor from the original Assassin’s Creed title while Hunters and Titans may equip armor from Kassandra and Eivor, protagonists from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla respectively. Bungie’s newest trailer for Destiny 2 shows off the Assassin’s Creed armor as Guardians fight against the forces of darkness. As depicted in the trailer, players may equip additional Assassin’s Creed-themed accessories in Season of the Seraph.

Destiny 2 players may now acquire Assassin’s Creed accessories for their Guardian such as a new ghost, sparrow, and ship. In addition, the new “Up my Sleeve” finisher is available at the Eververse store. The “Up my Sleeve” finisher mimics the iconic hidden blade assassination depicted throughout the Assassin’s Creed series. Consequently, the Eververse store is filled with armor and accessories for the most dedicated of Assassin’s Creed fans during Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph.

The Eververse store has been a source of criticism toward Bungie’s monetization practices in recent years, but the new Assassin’s Creed armor is one case of paid cosmetics being a boon for Destiny 2. The new Assassin’s Creed gear may be enticing for players that also enjoy Ubisoft’s prolific franchise. Eventually, the gear may be obtained through the use of Bright Dust, which is Destiny 2’s free in-game currency that’s acquired through normal progression. For example, Destiny 2’s Fortnite collaboration gear was available to purchase with Bright Dust during Season of Plunder.

Season of the Seraph appears to be off to a great start in Destiny 2 with incredible gear, weapons, and activities to pursue. The season ends when the Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion launches on February 28, 2023.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
