The Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch trailer gives players a look at everything new coming on October 1st with Shadowkeep. The first part of the trailer is dedicated to the new campaign in the expansion that has players rteturning to the Moon to confront a new threat as well as the Hive. There’s even a few hints that Ghost, voiced by Nolan North, could be playing a pivotal role in the story and even may become corrupted and serve as the voice for a potential foe.

For many, the trailer saves the best for last as it reveals that in addition to all of the Crucible changes including the new playlists and matchmaking updates, Lennie James was also able to record a few new voice lines for Lord Shaxx.

In addition to a new expansion, the game is also going free to play with what the studio is calling Destiny 2: New Light. All year 1 content will become available to download and players can even experience portions of the Forsaken expansion and Annual Pass content without having to first purchase it. For players who have purchased the Forsaken expansion, the Annual Pass content is now available completely free of charge thanks to a recent patch. This means players can now partake in Black Armor forges, earn Gambit Prime set armor, and experience the rewards of the Menagerie in addition to new exotic quests like Lumina and Outbreak Prime.
