The new screenshots show some more of the Moon, the destination that will be returning in Destiny 2 after it served as one of the original destinations in Destiny 1. The gear appears to be tied to the Moon itself, with the weapons and armor featuring a similar design to Eris Morn, who is also returning to the sequel in this expansion.

The image shows the full armor sets for the Titan, Hunter, and Warlock (from left to right). All the sets look a little more cobbled-together than some past armor sets that are more pristine. The Titan’s armor is clearly modeled to look like an astronaut, perhaps tying into the lore of Destiny about the first humans who traveled and settled the Moon during the Golden Age.

The Hunter and Warlock armor follow more along the lines of what was shown in the cinematic reveal trailer for the expansion, with ragged equipment tied together with fabrics, ornamented with metal trinkets. The weapons follow that similar design language, with what looks to be a shotgun in the Titan’s hands, a hand cannon in the Hunter’s, and an auto rifle and sword equipped on the Warlock.

Additional screenshots showing off the same armor were posted on Shadowkeep’s Steam page as well:

Bungie has previously revealed two other weapons in this Moon set, specifically the fusion rifle and heavy machine gun, neither of which show up in this image. It is unknown exactly how players will earn this gear in Shadowkeep, but it is clearly tied to the Moon. It could come directly from Eris Morn as vendor gear, earned through playing activities on the Moon, or tied to a specific activity that Bungie has yet to reveal.

It is unlikely that this gear will be earned in the raid, which was also revealed today to be called Garden of Salvation. That raid will release on October 5th and take place in the Black Garden against the Vex.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep releases October 1, 2019 for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
