In the new Dawning event, Eva wants players to bake cakes and cookies for NPCs all across the solar system. To do this they’ll need to gather ingredients, and then bake them in specific combinations to make each treat. While the baking itself is simple enough, finding the ingredients is anything but. To help out, here’s our guide to how to earn each of the ingredients.

The Easy Ones

The Dawning ingredients on this first list are fairly easy to acquire, and drop frequently when killing the appropriate enemy type.

Cabal Oil — Drop from Cabal, found in the EDZ, on Io, Mars, Mercury and the Tangled Shore. Chitin Powder — Drop from Hive, found on Titan, Mars, the Tangled Shore, the Moon, and the Dreaming City. Dark Ether Cane — Drop from Scorn, found on the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City. Ether Cane — Drop from Fallen, found in the EDZ, the Moon, on Nessus, Titan and the Tangled Shore. Taken Butter — Drop from Taken, found in the EDZ, on Io and the Dreaming City. Vex Milk — Drop from Vex, found on Io, Nessus, Mars, Mercury and the Tangled Shore.

Special Circumstances

The ingredients on this list are a little more difficult. Not only do they have a reduced drop rate, but they also require certain kinds of kills.

Balanced Flavors — Bow kills, sniper kills, scout rifle kills. Bullet Spray — Kills with automatic weapons. Delicious Explosions — Explosive kills of any kind. Electric Flavor — Arc kills with either class abilities or a weapon element. Finishing Touch — Kills with Finishing Moves. Flash of Inspiration — Generate Orbs of Light with Masterwork weapons or supers. Impossible Heat — Solar kills with either class abilities or a weapon element. Multifaceted Flavors — Earn multi-kills on any enemy type. Null Taste — Void kills with either class abilities or a weapon element. Perfect Taste — Precision kills on any enemy type. Personal Touch — Melee kills on any enemy type. Pinch of Light — Generate Orbs of Light. Sharp Flavor — Sword kills on any enemy type. Superb Flavor — Super kills on any enemy type.

Once players have acquired the ingredients they need, they can be baked into delicious treats in the oven Eva provides. Although this part of the Dawning event is free, there are also many new items in the Eververse store that can’t be purchased with holiday cheer alone.
