Although the weapon has been briefly spotted in early Destiny 2: Shadowkeep trailers, this is the first time players are really given a good look at the heavy weapon. Sticking with a Hive-inspired look, the rocket launcher is briefly shown in gameplay as a Titan player leaps into the air and fires a void projectile which splits into a lot of smaller but aggressive tracking explosive projectiles. However, unlike a cluster bomb rocket, this one actually detonates in air and sends aggressive void seeking projectiles towards the target.

The weapon itself isn’t detailed specifically, though players may be able to gleam a few pieces of information from the artists rendering of the weapon. In the lower right corner, the phrase Crow Dream catcher is listed, which may be a note to the gameplay programmer once the concept art is given to a developer. The WIP on the other side indicates a work in progress, though based on the short gameplay as well as the previous PAX West exotic leak.
The overall look and feel of the weapon fits within the astro-shaman vibe that Luke Smith mentions earlier on in the trailer. Players have already seen the armor, and this video shows off more of the weapons player will be able to hunt. Considering that Eris Morn isn’t attempting to help the player, the weapons therefore step in to provide benefits such as being able to communicate when Nightmare enemies are approaching. Portions of the weapons begin to glow or become transparent, signalling that the player should prepare for a tough fight.
Without the oversight from Activision anymore, Bungie has been a lot more open about its plans for Destiny 2 as well as the franchise as a whole. The recent video goes into a bit of detail about upcoming seasons beyond Season of the Undying. Without going into too many details, the studio laid out plans on how it intends to continue the plot from season to season. The phrase, “Fix the timeline” can be seen on a whiteboard, potentially hinting that the Vex will be messing with time and ultimately pushing the player into a massive conflict by Season 11 that could even includ some sort of time travel in order to correct something.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep releases October 1, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
