The news comes by way of a Redditor who noticed the discount when purchasing two copies of the game. While the price on the main page says the game is $60, the 20 percent discount is offered at checkout.

It looks like the discount is only available for the Standard Edition of Destiny 2, which means those looking to pick up the extras in the Deluxe, Limited, or Collector’s Editions will likely still pay full price to get the game and bonuses.

After the recent gameplay reveal, many Destiny fans are excited for the new worlds, experiences, and character classes coming with Destiny 2. Based on the footage shown so far, it seems Destiny 2 will be taking everything gamers enjoy about Destiny and enhancing the experience for the sequel.

That said, there are already a handful of features gamers are a little disappointed with. For instance, Destiny 2 is locked at 30 frames per second on consoles, though recent comments from Xbox hint toward higher frame rates on the upcoming Xbox Scorpio device.

Additionally, it’s been announced that the PC version of Destiny 2 will be launching after the console version, with no firm release date set yet for PC. This bit of news has frustrated some PC gamers, though others are happy to finally get a chance to experience the worlds of Destiny on PC. Hopefully Bungie will finalize the PC release date soon so PC gamers aren’t left in the dark too much longer.

Despite these minor drawbacks, it looks like Destiny 2 is poised for a strong start. Now that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been pushed back to 2018, there are now fewer challengers to Destiny 2’s launch, meaning the game should sell very well come September.
